^ Agreed. The M550 is a huge jump in terms of performance/mpg. Will be interesting to see what the others come up with but I doubt it was be any less spectacular than this and I don't care with Mercedes are saying officially, I bet behind the scenes they are hard at work.

Not to this level, they haven't - not from 3 litres and 6 six cylinders. That V12 TDI is old hat by comparison. It's a big engine and its outputs are merely commensurate and hardly remarkable. Also hellish thirsty for a diesel.

Accurate and true.What i meant is MB thought of the idea like 8 years ago that's all.
