@slicknick : Congrats an many safe miles. You forgot a thing. They have the "best" highways in the world. (especialy between Beerse and Turnhout). No matter what car you drive, on this peace of highway it's like driving on a kangaroo in Australia.

^ I know, the road surface gets infinitely better iin an instant , once you cross the border to Holland...That said, the roads in certain parts of the US are even worse , so i got used to it

Dutch highways are the best in the world bar NONE.
Dutch exits and entries to highways are too.
And Dutch traffic signs are the best as well.
And did I mention Dutch asphalt? Yep, you guessed it, also the best. No spray during rain.

Downside, it's way too crowded.
