wow you beat me Panterror. I think mine are the same so feel free to delete if you want to.

This car is really upper scale.

Looks pretty good; just hope that it can now take a full size spare wheel under the boot floor. A spare wheel is essential equipment over here & elegant is certainly not a term that could be used to describe the previous rear spare wheel. Worried about price though... VW products have been getting pretty pricey lately.

I heard sometime back that there may be a 2.0 Twin Turbo TDi pushing out 180 hp as the entry level Touareg. Anyone who can confirm this?

I like it quite a bit! It's less extravagant or baroque and sportier and lighter in overall style compared to the current Touareg.

BTW is that blue Touareg that Sayyaaf posted fitted with halogens?

Does it have double-fogs?!?!!?!?
The other two darker ones are sensors/radars for the ACC (or some other tech feature).

Overall the X5, ML and Q7 are still more 'upscale' and bigger - New Touareg not bad at all, just not that better at all...:eusa_thin

I actually like the interior. Ho-hum on the exterior though but I don't dislike anything about it which is a good thing.

Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche 911 crash

Driver hit the wrong pedal
A Volkswagen Touareg ended up on top of a Porsche 911 in a parking lot in Beijing, China.

It happened a few days ago when a woman driving the SUV panicked after getting too close to the parked 911 and instead of hitting the brake pedal, she accidentally pressed the accelerator. The Touareg driver managed to get out of the car safe and sound, but the vehicle will need some repairs to the front fascia.

More extensive work will be necessary to fix the Porsche 911 which likely belongs to someone who is very fond of the car taking into account it had a red cloth on to protect the body from dust. Dust is now the owner's last priority as his prized possession is in need of a major repair.
