@DeDe the standard Turbo S did 15.7sec to 250km/h in ABSC if I remember right, what time they get to 300km/h for stock Turbo S?

It's a bit old, but I figure that it would be nice to show.

The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is less than a year old but the company appears to be testing a facelifted model.

While this seems a little sudden, the 911 Carrera debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show so it makes sense that Porsche would be working on a facelift for the entire 911 range.

That being said, the changes are minor and include aerodynamic door-mounted mirrors and restyled LED daytime running lights. The déjà vu design continues out back as there appears to be restyled taillights and possibly a new engine vent cover.

The current model is powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that develops 520 PS (383 kW). If Porsche continues with tradition, we can expect a minor increase of approximately 10-15 PS (7-11 kW).

Porsche 911 Turbo facelift leaked

Due in Frankfurt next year

These are the first fully revealing images depicting the 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo facelift.

Just like you would expect from Porsche, the styling revisions implemented in the facelifted 911 Turbo are subtle but we do notice the rear spoiler has been reshaped while the headlight graphics have also gone through some minor changes. The LED daytime running lights look a little bit different and the taillights seem slightly longer.

Rumored to arrive at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the facelifted 911 Turbo is expected to come with an increase in power for the 3.8-liter six-cylinder turbo engine which could be upgraded to as much as 600 HP (441 kW) in the Turbo S.

The entire 911 range will be refreshed and all models (except for GT3 and GT3 RS) will reportedly get a turbocharged engine.

These photos seem suspicious, they are not supposed to be the FL model, much more like the patent pic for the current one IMO.

What diff setup does the 991 Turbo/Turbo S use? Is it basically the same as the 997.2 version?

For the 991 Turbo/Turbo S, drive power is distributed between the permanently driven rear axle and the front axle by means of an electronically variable multi-plate clutch. This is similar to the 997.2 versions.

In the rear axle, the 991 Turbo/Turbo S has an electronic controlled (mechanical) differential lock with infinitely variable torque distribution between the right and left rear wheels. This is different to the 997.2 versions, as they had a more simple (non-electronically controlled) mechanical limited slip differential.

The 991 Turbo/Turbo S and 997.2 Turbo S had PTV, and it was optional on the 997.2 Turbo.

Technically, 991 Turbo's PTV plus is more advanced which not only has electronic LSD integrated within PDK on rear axle but also the cornering brake, further more rear wheel steering makes another big difference. I drove 991 turbo s in person in comparison with 977, 911's chassis is so much better than 977, 991 TS is one of most comfortable super car I've ever driven before, even felt it's more comfortable than 458 with electromagnetic suspension.
