The Porsche 992 is the eighth generation of the Porsche 911. Predecessor: Porsche 911 (991). Production: 2018–
(I know this is a cab picture, but common is global to the 992) : I love the fact you can get an alternative to full leather seats ; I would love to see it for real, but I like it a lot.

Sport Auto's first test will come on April 12. It's stated as TEST, but hopefully they will delay the Supertest of the Yaris GRMN because of the 992. :)

Have you seen latest episode of Gran Tour? I was just thinking of it because of the stupid "GRMN" signature ... and how Jeremy made fun of it :p

Look at the side profile. Long live the nine one one.

I missed the unveiling of it here this weekend. Local Porsche Centre had a really nice yellow example with nearly all generations of 911 present.

So I went to the local unveiling at Kyalami on Saturday night. Impressive launch, great spread, emotive presentation. But heck, circa 1800 people? I guess you can imagine that I didn't get much of a viewing of the 992.
Primary take away from the evening? 992 looks just like a 911 and, by and large, terrific in the metal. Interior seems solid and of appropriate quality too. It's the 911 on repeat.

I missed the launch was out of town, went today and damn its so beautiful love it.
But they had a black one and that was to boring, interior was black to.
Out back they had a Crayon one, ohh that was really sweet.
Im gonna testdrive it next week, ile be back with a report.

PS
The interior coming out of a Panamera white white leather seemed abit spartan, but that is as it should be its a sports car.
But all those rocker switches are like jewels and super high quality.

Some thoughts on the 992 roll out. First of all it's soooo slooooow. Everyone here knows that a base version (somewhat value proposition) is coming. Everyone also knows that a manual and GTS are coming. For the astute Porsche observer, we also know that new brake option (PSCB) is coming. It's also a safe bet that a few more colors and wheel option might be made available. Something also tells me that there will be a traditional style pdk lever option coming. Many will spring for the current S offering for sure but to me that just makes little sense. Come on Porsche, release it all already!

I hope you're right about the PDK lever. I think that's the only minus with the interior.

When is the 992 on-sale date in the US?

Not sure about the US, however a guy in Italy is picking his up from the dealer in a day or two and a guy from Switzerland has a pick scheduled for March 29 according to a Rennlist thread. I suspect first cars will be delivered late April or May in the US.
