Wow relax. My previous car was a 3-door. Nothing wrong to offer both a 3-door and 5 door. Options are good but I realize Yaris GR is too small to have rear doors.

That is the point. But manufacrurers have decided to offer only 5 doors. This Yaris is the one and only 3 door choice. In any case, 5 doors do not make these cars more practical, they are just too small.

per the carwow video, the 5-door structure is less stiffer and since the rally car is a 3-door, for homologation, that's why it's 3-doors. In this iteration, it's a fun sprightly toy and has given up any semblance of being a practical city car. Respek to anyone who gets it, as a whole, this car looks like an absolute hoot.

Yaris is too small. There is one class above that works perfectly with 5 doors.

I badly want a Yaris GR..... It's just unbelievably cool in terms of overall package!

They should have made the new Supra themselves with this mindset. Would have been much better than the dull BMW made product we got instead...

What a bunch of nonsense. All hatchbacks are only 5 doors now BECAUSE of the practicality. Nobody is buying 3 door versions anymore because of exactly that. A shame, but it is what it is. The plus side is of course that it makes this GR all the much hotter...

I come from a 3-door and replaced it with a 5-door because of practicality. It's much easier for my rear passengers to get in and out. It's a major relieve to not hearing sighs and puffs anymore anyways Yaris is a small car so its understandable why its only comes with 3-doors.
I would love to take one for a testdrive. When is the car available ?

I never said it was wrong being a 3-door. I was just asking about a 5-door but this was before I understood how tiny the car is. Perhaps you made a big deal out of nothing
