New Ford Fiesta ST ride review
It's a shame the new Fiesta ST looks so ordinary and boring. I'm not hooked this time.
Don't know when mine is coming. There been delays l've been told.Quite sad that the Fiesta ST will not be coming to South Africa due to our poor fuel quality.
Sorry folks: the new Ford Fiesta ST is NOT coming to SA… - CAR magazine
If you are in Europe you’ll get it just be patient. Doesn’t seem like the US will be getting it either for different reasons B segments not being popular that side.Don't know when mine is coming. There been delays l've been told.
Is that also true for your premium fuel.Quite sad that the Fiesta ST will not be coming to South Africa due to our poor fuel quality.

Yes our premium fuel isn’t so premium. To be honest fuel quality is the least of our problems, petrol prices are sky rocketing.
Yes it is, cars in low altitude cities like Cape Town perform better than high altitude places like Johannesburg . N/A cars suffer the most at high altitude. A E90 335i is faster than a E90 M3 at altitude.Isn't oxygen content in air also a problem for cars at the high altitudes in SA?
That's not good but underscores why car manufacturers do extensive testing in the country.A E90 335i is faster than a E90 M3 at altitude.
This is very sad news for the car community. The Fiesta and Focus(discontinue in 2025) are brilliant cars. They tend to be the cars which people experience "good handling" for the first time. From learner and track days, they have been popular choices. Last but not least, the Fiesta ST is a super fun car and the closest that some owner will get to something like a GT3.
Which FWD cars are more fun to drive for the same money? Can't share your enthusiasm for them as drivers cars, but the Fiesta is an icon of affordable motoring, it'll be shame for it to go. Ah well, there's always Dacia.

Dacia is an intriguing brand and I like the direction of their design. However, they are going up in price really fast! The brand has even stopped selling the Sandero with steelies and non-colour coded bumpers.
Small affordable cars are dying and its evident now with this announcement by Ford. The change over to EV vehicles mean cars will become larger (due to battery size/capacity/range) and more expensive. Sad days are coming with EV taking over everything. In future no more small and medium hatches, only crossovers, SUVs and some larger saloons will be left.
