765LT [Official] Mclaren 765LT

Unveiled on 3 March 2020, the 765LT is a limited (765 units worldwide) version of the 720S and the successor to the 675LT as a Super Series Longtail car, focused on track performance. The M840T engine is now rated at 765 PS (563 kW; 755 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 590 lb⋅ft (800 N⋅m) of torque at 5,500 rpm achieved with a higher-capacity fuel pump, forged aluminium pistons and a three-layer head gasket from the Senna.
I love that deep metallic red colour to bits. Suits McLarens really well; I wish that other manufacturers would offer it as a standard colour option for their models.

So that's 1/4 mile in 9,33 s at 151,34 mph in stock form.
0-60 mph (with 1ft rollout): 2,11 s
0-100 mph (with 1ft rollout): 4,40 s
0-130 mph (with 1ft rollout): 6,80 s
0-150 mph (with 1ft rollout): 9,16 s

And for us Europeans:
0-100 kph (without rollout): 2,45 s
0-200 kph (without rollout): 6,49 s

Crazy fasto_O

Jesus. I remember when single digits and 150 mph were dream land for ANYONE. Twenty years ago the ultimate companion used to be gen 1 Hayabusa: single digits and 145. Now we have stock supercars going significantly and regularly quicker.

I am so excited to have a 765LT incoming in 2021. I think it will be the performance high water mark of the ICE.

765LT hits 205 mph...
Chiron "keep your beer - I'll have the cognac"
It's all relative to the intention but take nothing away from that 1/4 mile time. It's jaw-dropping.

But you could buy a 765LT and a used MiG for the price of a Chiron and the MiG would be cheaper to service too.

Sure, but I'm not qualified to fly a MiG, whereas I'm perfectly qualified to drive a Chiron. I'd say that's 98.2713457% true of all Bugatti owners out there.
The Chiron needs to be celebrated for what it is: an ultra-luxurious juggernaut that's genuinely capable of 480 km/h top speed - that's a big number that some car makers have had to lie about achieving.

Look, take nothing away from the 765LT - it's a bombastically rapid machine - and, given the level of its performance relative to its price tag (let's say nicely specced at $350K) it's actually good value for money. Purely as a comparator, you could spend 50% more on an SF90 and get no more performance other than 6 mph at the top-end.

For mere mortals like me, the 765LT is helluva expensive but, for those who can afford it, it's also one helluva good buy.

This isn't exactly stock as it is running on semi-slick Drag tires.
Toyo R888s, not really special from other semi-slicks. I wouldn't class a tyre replacement as non-stock, certainly in insurance terms a tyre doesn't change the fact that the car is stock. Heck, some cars have a different tyre on each corner, the car is still stock to insurers.

Let's see if a reputable magazine can reproduce those numbers in a test. The Top Gear numbers were much slower.

Who cares? A customer car just did this in the real world. It’s huge. This is the quickest production car ever made under $2mm by far.
Not a "normal customer" car. The manufacturers know that he's making straight line acceleration videos with the cars he owns. McLaren gave him this car for making drag racing videos. The 60-130 mph time of his friends' car (or any other 765 LT) was slower.

oh come on lol. That’s high level conspiracy stuff. Let’s get serious.

If Mclaren really had nefarious or misleading ideals why not just give the juiced up cars to the “Reputable magazines”?

Let's just enjoy the existence of this mad car...
