750S [Official] McLaren 750S

McLaren North America has just received something~

It looks like the FIRST faded paintwork McLaren 750S and more likely than not MSO.

It's obviously being prepped so it might be the actual test car for the forthcoming driving reviews or instrumented tests but my guts also saying an actual client delivery.

As I stated awhile ago specifications delivered finished cars will change people's minds~ including mine~ over time.

I do individually like these paintworks and on other marque's too notably the black and red Ferrari Stadale SF90 recently.

That means will little in terms of assuring customers. What makes brands of quality product stand out is there QA process:
-Threshold for performance/function of components.
-Tolerances in manufacturing/assembly.
-Ability to iterate and rectify issues rather than saying “Well, this will only affect 1 in 100 cars and can resolved at dealer level should a customer bother making a warranty claim”

It does become a little assuring as pre production prototyping is very rarely discussed atleast that I know of regards McLaren. The Ultimate Series I remember reading things but not the Super Series. Maybe shows willingness transparency if nothing else.

Yes they are some of the McLaren Speedtail MSO paintworks are incredible! It's the same guys and they paint the McLaren 765LT's and now obviously these too!

"Barely a day after revealing the new 720S, McLaren unveiled another 720S. It’s called ‘Velocity’, and it’s a 720S modified by McLaren’s 120-person strong team at McLaren Special Operations to showcase the breadth of what’s now on offer from Woking’s bespoke department.

The main change is the funky paintwork, which took an astonishing 300 hours to layer. It’s two pearlescent hues of red split over the car: Nerello Red is used on the front and upper body panels of the car – including a very trippy graduated fade from red-tinted bare carbon fibre bonnet into red – then fades into a vivid Volcano Red that covers the sides and rear of the car."

They did the same in 2017 just a short while after the McLaren 720S was launched- "Strata". You might remember!

There are apparently 5 pre production prototype McLaren 750S Supercars in the United States of America. This is very obviously a Spyder.

The Instagram link contains location specifics and other particulars.

But the colour coded frontal aspect simply doesn't work at all. The darker colours are better, I think but not by much?

That's absolutely cool to know. We will see how it fairs against the Mclaren 720S and Mclaren 765LT- both proven and verified there. Love this event!
