750S [Official] McLaren 750S

The press photos are really funny. In some pictures, the white Spider has eyesockets, in others, it's gone. I bet performance wise it's the same setup as 765LT, since it has shorter final drive.
It reminds me a bit of the Huracan Tecnica, carrying over some stuff from the STO.

They are really leaning into the whole alien-face vibe by making that lower portion body-colored.

Although it's a fairly mild update, I prefer the smidge more aggression the pre-FL car provides.

This is their last V8 internal combustion engined car. That's accordingly to them. It should be a hell of alot more special than this. If that sounds critical it's absolutely meant to be so and many I spoke to in private agree. I'm absolutely positive it's a fantastic proposition, it could have been more so that's all.

Shmee and some others stated there will be an LT version of the 750S?

"This will be the last Mclaren V8 turbos which will be in production."

🤔

And the second sentence goes further. Building an even more rare limited edition of an already limited edition relating to production build slots, I don't know doesn't make much sense, unless their PR and Marketing department has relayed incorrect information!🙂

I guess the 720S didnt need much of a change as it already was such a game changer in the looks department when it launched in 2017. New 750S is a mild FL and it is quite hard to spot the differences. I guess mainly the intakes front and lower side and some new wheels.

Here are the performance numbers imperial so 0-300km/h in a claimed 19.8sec, which is probably conservative:

The 750S Coupe and Spider can reach 60 miles per hour in just 2.7 seconds. However, the convertible is 0.1 seconds slower to 124 mph – 7.2 to 7.3 – and 0.6 seconds slower to 186, which takes 19.8 and 20.4. Their quarter-mile times also differ, with the coupe completing it in 10.1 seconds compared to the Spider’s 10.3-second time. Both can reach a top speed of 206 mph.

This is their last V8 internal combustion engined car.
The 720S is the Nissan GTR of supercars. Its performance and handlings in corners is second to none. Sure, not everyone loves the design but I think it still looks fresh and ought to Keep going for a few more years.

Keeping the car on the markets puts Mclaren in a unique position as Ferrari and Lamborghini will only have hybrid sports cars on the markets. If you want a hybrid with a Mclaren badge then buy an Artura. McLaren are offering choice!

At 1,389kg(DIN), the 750S is the last chance to own a light supercar. Dry weight of the 296 is 1470kg, that’s almost 200kg lighter than the 750S’s dry weight of 1,277 kg.

IMO this model is one of my favorite automotive news of the past 24 months. To be the devil’s advocate, the exterior facelift is a bit underwhelming compared with what Ferrari and Lamborghini have done in the past.

This is also Maclaren’s 2nd chance to give the car the successful and positive launch that it deserve. Although the 720s was celebrated in reviews about its performance, reliability and manufacturing defects of early cars was poor. Even British car vloggers ended up staying clear of Mclarens.

However, Mclaren has a new CEO who has acknowledged that they have previously shipped cars that were not ready. Basing the 750S on the 720S de-risks the launch of a new car as there is less new stuff to screw up.

I literally can't tell the new car from the old one without a stare and compare. The car still looks good though and it should be (again) a road going missile.

Solid points. And it is underwhelming so people are stating themselves- I've stopped replying!

I don't care that they didn't change much, especially exterior design. Because the 720S/765LT look awesome in person and this will continue this trend...

0- 300km/h= 18.6 seconds which is the quickest stock production Mclaren 720S verified time ever.

As for caring, we're saying what we're saying because we don't care. We absolutely do care!

We're saying they could have done much better, much much better. I know because in other sphere's it's glaringly obvious. Anyway lets see the different paint schemes and finishes.

Shmee and some others stated there will be an LT version of the 750S?

no, LT is LT. This is it….

Next LT will be Artura and that will be pretty special. I think Artura looks way better than this 750. I am not a fan at all. To me they ruined the 720.

You guys need to realize this car was never planned. They aren’t even close to the hybrid 720S replacement. That car will monster everything. Think 100-200 km/h in well under 4 seconds. There’s a reason McLaren made this car, and it’s the same reason Ferrari made the F8 (which was a much larger improvement over the 488). That reason is the 296. Just like the F8 was made specifically because of the 720S. That’s why they’re claiming 0-200 in 7.2 seconds. Because it beats the F8. They were being conservative with the 720S to not piss off P1 owners. In reality it was quicker than advertised. Now they’re just telling the truth but in a way to make sure they stay relevant with Ferrari.

They should have just let the Artura scream a little more at the top end and not held it back. That’s the 296 competitor. This 750S didn’t really need to be made if the Artura had 700
Hp and some more crazy about it.

This 750S is the same as Ferrari did with F8. Facelift for short period before new car arrives.

Porsche does it with the 911. But look at the difference between the Huracan and the Technica. It can be done.

Anyway that's all really. It doesn't ultimately affect us much, just passionate about them!

Am I right in saying that this is the lightest supercar to be released in the recent 10 years - excluding the Exile 410.

Surely Mclaren are aiming to have the last laugh here and produce the best non-hybrid supercar of all times.
