570S/570GT [Official] McLaren 570S (Sports Series)

The McLaren 570S is a sports car designed and manufactured by the British car manufacturer McLaren Automotive, produced from 2015 until 2021.
Sometimes I'm ok with the headlights, other times I'm not, but I think the 570 Spider might be McLaren's best Spider effort yet, aesthetically speaking.

I wonder how 540/570 sales are going, I've yet to see one on the road.

I've just started seeing these on the roads. Saw a white 540C with a green stripe last week. Also saw a silver 570GT and a white 570S. They look amazing in person, proportions are spot on. I think lots of people are going to consider this over an R8 / AMG GT because of the McLaren brand and exclusivity. McLaren's idea of investing big money in the P1 development and then trickling all that tech down to the rest of the range is really going to pay off with this car. I don't think there is another car in its class that comes with a carbon tub, nor one that shares its motor with a hypercar (in this case, the P1).

^Few porsche guys are also switching over cause it is so much easier to get one compared to the BS games the Porsche dealers play when it comes to the GT cars.

And that jump. Luckily, press cars are not sold to the public, right?

Eh, depends. Lots of times, the manufacturer does a major service and makes some cosmetic fixes, then sells them as demos through dealerships for discount. I always stay away from demos because most often they aren't broken in properly.

If it's a prototype they're driving, then it goes to the crusher, along with test cars and mules.

The guys at the MB track day told me after the cars has reached certain mileage, they will sell them off as demo....

There should be a requirement that ex-test cars be labeled as such. I wouldn't want to buy a "new" car, only to find out later on that it's been thrashed by 20+ journalists or AMG/M driving school drivers.

At least in the US, demos are still classified as never titled.

There is no such law in Australia, some times cars with over 10 000 km is still marked as "Dealer demo".
