Lamborghini super/hyper sportscars have left me pretty cold since the production run of the Miura ended.

But I am really looking forward to a 4 door coupe/sedan based on the Estoque show car. A true rival to the A-M Rapide. And I am hoping that Lamborghini will adhere to the somewhat more cohesive design language of which we may be seeing some hints of on the LP 700-4 Aventador. I actually like that boneline on the cars' flanks and find the Aventador more attractive than the Murcielago in general.

Of course, the 4 door will have to be far more subdued.

So no. Far from it in fact. The Aventador like a good old red wine. Reventon is a Bacardi Breezer.

Is Lambo still making the convertibles with the overly complicated system of having to "build" it into place so that the car is covered?

I think Clarkson went over this in a Top Gear episode about the murc.

I think it is unanimous: the Aventador is the top high end benchmark sportscar and is the best looking. I don't think many will not drool about it. I like it more than any Pagani, Veyron and any of these (MP4-12C is in an other category, the one of the Gallardo). I think it is the red color that made it look not very good. I'll take one in BLACK. I can now see this car in all new video clips. This car will be "VIP Car of the Year 2011"!

What is next? New Ferrari 599? New McLaren F1? Porsche 918 GT?

By the way, any pics of interior?

Really the Aventador is a Reventon + an Estoque. At least not a Gallardo + a Murcielago.

Based on the leaked pics, I love it! Sure the edgy design is perhaps overly underlined on some details but overall it's just as bold and agressive as expected from a Lamborghini.

PS. On a side note, I used to like Ferrari and Lamborghini equally but with Ferrari's recent designs like California & 458, I'm losing my affection for their current lineup (I still adore the 599 though) while Lambo keeps on impressing me.

Look at the current cars. The Aventador, Gallardo Performante and lets hope the Estoque will join without any drastic changes to the design. Its just a win.

Uhm no. The new Pagani is a full class above the Aventador. Specs wise (power to weight ratio for example) and price wise.

As for looks, that's subjective. I say both look impressive, but the Pagani interior is just too much for my taste. Hopefully the Aventador has a better interior, I haven't seen much of it yet...
