Jesko [Official] Koenigsegg Jesko

The Koenigsegg Jesko is a limited production mid-engine sports car produced by the Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. The car was introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was completely sold out before the show ended. Succeeding the Agera, the Jesko is named as a tribute to the company founder's father, Jesko von Koenigsegg. There are two variations of the car, the "Absolut" and the "Attack".

This looks alot better than previous Koenigsegg models and they trying to either surpass 300mph or 500kmh with this car. The aim is to beat the Bugatti 490kmh speed. Too me it just lacks the class and sophistication of the Chiron but I do applause them for bringing this car out to market for the wealthy elites.

"If you run the numbers, you take the frontal area, the cd, the power, the gear ratio, the power curve... the simulations say 532 km/h (330 mph), or something like that," Koenigsegg said. "It's of course a theoretical number, but that's what simulation tells us. We don't really have ambition to drive that fast. The end result will be location, driver willingness, and car's capability. But theoretically, it looks extremely fast."

We asked if the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds—a repurposed three-mile space-shuttle runway in Florida—would be suitable. "It's perfect, apart that it's not long enough. We can go maybe 85 percent of the car's top speed there." Koenigsegg said. "The problem is when you start reaching your top speed, and you want to get your last 5-10 mph, they come very, very slowly while the car is flying forward and just consuming miles so quickly."

That second paragraph is telling. Very. So that's BOTH Koenigsegg and Hennessey out of using Kennedy Space Centre as of their own preferences.

Well the top speed wars are begining to warm up. And there's another entrant to consider.

I wonder how far it actually takes to reach that speed though?

It probably takes at least 1 minute to hit 300mph, with an average speed during that time of 240mph, so that's 4 miles already. Then another minute between 300 and 330mph, which is another 5+ miles, and then another mile for braking. You will likely need a 10 mile straight to see that speed.

The SSC Tuatara hit 0-295MPH in 2.3 miles in just over 45 seconds. And it's 0-300km/h time was something like 19 seconds. Which is means improvement is absolutely possible!

I'm working on some calculations at some point for the Absolut.:)

Do we believe any of the info about the Tuatara given that they were caught cheating about there high speed runs.

I'm not responsible for other people's feelings about the fiasco that occurred in October 2020. They messed up big and they know it. But the same car driven by it's owner shattered the previous record just three months later. He intervened and literally set the record straight himself 286.10MPH (peak not two way average) in 1.9 miles. Unheard of. It still stands 22 months later. To be honest the whole top speed thing is played out.

But putting all that aside I was invested in the project one whole DECADE before.

I was completely stunned by it. I still am today and that's never going to change. Over time I've built vast bank of knowledge relating to project which eventually I'll start sharing, if I feel inclined to do so.

It's too important even if only to me, to dismiss but I'm sure the Americans will be receptive. They have been elsewhere.

Koenigsegg Is Gearing Up To Deliver The Very First Jesko!

"This particular Jesko was spotted testing outside the automaker’s factory in Ängelholm, Sweden and is finished in a simple shade known as Battle Grey. It has also been equipped with a set of orange brake calipers and was spotted with protective tape across the sides to ensure the paint remains in tip-top condition for when the keys are handed over to the buyer.

A set of twin five-spoke wheels have also been fitted to this Jesko but these are simply wheels being used for testing and will be replaced with different ones for delivery. While the owner has decided to go with a relatively restrained exterior finish, the same cannot be sad of the interior as it is clad in Lava Orange leather that will make riding inside this Koenigsegg a really unforgettable experience."

Nearly here, finally atlast!

The $3.4-Million Koenigsegg Jesko Rakes In The 2022 Hypercar Award From The Motorheads At ‘Top Gear’.

"The Koenigsegg Jesko has been raking in the plaudits and creating its own fanbase since its introduction at 2019’s Geneva Auto Show, but the new $3.4 million Jesko Absolut has just done its predecessor proud in winning the annual 2022 hypercar of the year award from Top Gear. It’s not as if the car actually needed the plaudit to prove anything, but it is an awfully nice public certification of its intense popularity among the global hypercar-owner set, and it’s made Christian von Koenigsegg, the founder of the hardy company in Angersholm, Sweden, and his 500 colleagues who make the thing in some very imaginatively converted former hangers at a demobbed Swedish military airbase very, very happy."
