Strange "Road Test"! he could have taken any footage of the car on the road driving as well as the track with another driver and just added his voice to commentary. Would have been so much better if this guy actually shows himself inside driving the car and then describing the power with more enthusiasm in his voice, ala Chris Harris and Steve Sutcliffe

Mr. Davis has been doing this for over thirty years, I would never doubt him. I personally like the show the way it is.

This is probably a private car.

LaFerrari XX Racecar Spied with Interior: Wildest Production-Based Ferrari Ever Coming in December

Now that people have explored the full potential of the LaFerrari, drifting the hypercar and all, it’s time to turn our attention to the racing incarnation of the Ferrari flagship. Dubbed LaFerrari XX and being almost ready to make its debut, the creature was recently spotted testing on the Adria Raceway in Italy.

The spyshots show the car in the pits, so we have the change to get a close look at Maranello’s latest creation. The images, which come from CzechExotics, allow us to step inside the prototype. All the expected motorsport elements are here, from the rollcage and the five-point harness bucket seats, to the stripped-out treatment and the emergency shutoff button.

The LaFerrari XX will be the wildest production-based car the Prancing Horse has ever made

The LaFerrari XX will also be one of the greatest challenger Maranello has ever faced. To get an idea of what we’re talking about, we’ll mention the thing will go through a heart transplant in the XX-ization process.

That’s right, the racecar will lose the production model’s petrol-electric duo, which is comprised of an 800 PS naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 and an 163 PS electric motor. With the help of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the hypercar deals with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 2.9 seconds. More importantly, the 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) sprint takes place in 15 seconds.

Making the racecar faster than that is not necessarily Ferrari’s goal. For one thing, this would be extremely difficult and besides, their racing program is all about laptimes and precision. Speaking of this, the rumored Nurburgring laptime for the LaFerrari XX is a mind-blowing 6:35.

Ferrari might be preparing its V6 return via the LaFerrari XX

Thus, the racecar is expected to ditch the V12 in favor of an F1-inspired turbocharged V6, which will, of course, continue to receive electric assistance. This would go well with the rumors of the carmaker returning to V6 engines, with the racecar serving as a test bed.

Speaking of this, Ferrari has been spied testing a LaFerrari that lapped Fiorano with a V6 turbo-like soundtrack. That happened last year and we haven’t heard anything on the topic ever since.

The latest rumors see the Ferrari LaFerrari XX is officially prancing its way into the racing world during the Ferrari Finali Mondiali event in Abu Dhabi, which will take place on December 3-6. This comes to contradict previous reports, which placed the car’s debut in early 2016. Either way, it’s going to be one hotwinter.

We haven't heard much about the LaFerrari Spider lately but a new report is indicating the car will be much rarer than originally expected.

Citing a company insider, The Supercar Kids are reporting Ferrari could build less than 10 models. As a result, the LaFerrari Spider is expected to carry a hefty premium which could bring the price tag up to $2-4 (€1.6-3.2 / £1.2-2.5) million.

Ferrari has been relatively coy about the model but the publication is saying it will feature a removable roof that consists of two panels. They also say the butterfly doors will be replaced by more conventional units.
