this was the car two days after the problem...There is really little space between the kers..the exhaust system..the protection shields...and the CARBON rear bumber.So they just improved the metal protection shields in that area ..The smoke you see in the video posted on youtube came by the overheated carbon bumber ..

I guess emu didn't post that the owner of the 918 wasn't used to that track and that the owner of the laferrari is. I'm also starting to think the owner of the 918 is "wtdoom", based on posts on other forums.

I also didn't mention that the owner of a P1 set the Spa lap record on his first time out on that track through traffic with a passenger on PZCS.... taking it easy too - 10s faster than LaF and hairdresser's car... I mean 918... clips 300kph on main straight. It is always easier following than leading anyway, you don't have to set the pace, no judgement calls and you can slipstream.

This confirms it? The hint of purple is probably from the lighting because the color looks like the normal metallic grey in the other photos.
