Cadillac Escalade [Official] Cadillac Escalade

The Cadillac Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV manufactured by General Motors and marketed by their luxury division Cadillac. It was the luxury brand's first major entry into the SUV market. The Escalade was introduced for the 1999 model year in response to an influx of new luxury SUVs in the late 1990s such as the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Range Rover, Lexus LX, and (especially) Ford's 1998 debut of the Lincoln Navigator.

Generally quite nicely executed interior.

Too much bling. I like it,but prefer Cadillac's interior.

This is just another level. One of the best looking dash.

It is a good looking dash - no doubt - and kudos to Cadillac for that. I don't think their customers will be disappointed.
However, I must question if you're being properly honest with us about it being superior (in this instance) to that of the GLS when it's clear that the GLS has far better uniformity and integration of switchgear all round.
If anything, the only blight on the Merc's interior copybook is that the engine start button and trim surround is in black plastic. Would've been stellar if finished in satin silver like the rest.

As for this new Escalade - nothing wrong with the interior imo. The exterior is harder to like. The soft step in the belt-line is at odds with its signature monolith image.

It still says fancier Chevy/GMC. That said it will sell lik...
The exterior of this Cadi looks really crap compared to the Chevy twins and GMC Yukon which looks 1000x times better in my opinion. Not digging the interior, its looking too BMWish or even Hyundaish at the moment.

I don't like the exterior. I hAve never been a fan of this model. As for the interior, now they get it. But they need to remove cheap buttons from the cheaper models. Can't wait for the next models.

One thing is for sure, the Escalade ESV (yet to be unveiled long wheel base version) is going to have tons of room for everyone with a well appointed interior. We already know the 3rd row is going to have ample leg room; let's just hope the seat itself is actually comfortable this time around. And it better be heated. :)

Latest photo-footage reveals troubled times at GMs' Cadillac Division:

Not only did the new Escalade not perform well during evasive manoeuvre "moose-testing", but also evidence that the companys' exterior design team stands accused of derailment has been causing headaches in Michigan.:

Doesn't look anything like a BMW interior.
Nothing to do with the X7 I agree, but getting very sharp, it reminds me a bit of this configuration of the VFL, central screen and two on the sides, but today the design is about where and how to put rectangular, square, triangular screens, Up, down, etc, so summarizing Cadillac's work is very nice, although the Navigator looks cool too.

This subtly retains an air of yesteryear clearly "American"

The three screens :p

I do see some BMW elements in it....the center stack angled to the driver, rotary-controlled center touchscreen, etc. I see it in the new CT5 as well. Not necessarily a bad thing as BMW does ergonomics well.

Clearly he is here under another name. The annoyance is the...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's IMPOSSIBLE! It can't be! ;)

But yea, I am with @CrunchSlaughtered, I am fine with this new iteration. He's more civil and informative.

What I really like about this oLED screen is that it doesn't look like they took an oversized tablet and attached it onto the dash with a couple of pieces of Wrigley's)

I just have to laugh though when John Galt - remember him ;) - proclaimed from the nether regions of the interweb that this new Escalade was akin to the second coming, the phoenix rising and the destroyer of worlds!

Erm... no.
