X5 [Official] BMW X5 (F15)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

Aren't there any chassis cutaways of the F15 in your BMW Group arsenal of photo's & sketches, Scott?:)

BMW are in the process of developing a plug-in hybrid F15.

The car spotted here sports a trapezoidal charging port opening on its driver’s-side front fender, and a tell-tale sticker on the driver’s door reveals this as a “Hybrid Test Vehicle.” This is the first time the BMW X5 has been fitted with a hybrid drivetrain, although BMW previously sold an unloved ActiveHybrid X6. We’re told the SUV will use a plug-in version of the powertrain in the ActiveHybrid 5 sedan — a 3.0-liter inline-six engine, a powerful electric motor/generator, and a large enough battery to permit at least a dozen miles of electric-only driving.

Marketing, to the original design:
"NO! We need more space! 7 seats! More people in the car!"

The board:
"Huh? But this is X5"

Marketing:
"Yeah, but people want comfort, luxury and space. If we mix the properties of a Van with the properties of a SUV, we sell even more cars!"

The board:
"Yes! Engineers, fix that shit!"

Engineers:
"Pleassssseeee...nooooooo"

----
Result: from the best looking SUV ever made to F15. Yay.

It almost makes you appreciate the Q7 for the first time :D

Ouch :(

Klier has bugged the BMW headquarters and put in a secret listening device. Looking at the new X5, I am convincedthat this conversation he wrote above actually happened.

Looks like it the beancounters have overtaken the BMW Tower in Munich.

No really, lol. I dislike it. It's off and you know it. Just look at the D pillar on the X3; it's perfect.
