I had a i4 40 for day, I was suitably impressed, I had my initial reservations, didn't think it was that attractive, funny looking front, but to drive it was really impressive, a lot quieter than the iX, more than fast enough, if they made this as a wagon I think I would have bought it

I have an appointment tomorrow to test drive one, they've already given me an attractive offer, if it goes well I'll order this configuration.

That's pretty much identical to my cancelled car. Good luck getting the laser lights.

Really ? They’re available, apparently. But I am not sure about the car anymore - I have realised it’s going to be difficult with the size - I have a double car park, plus a short garage and it’s all Tetris - this would replace the mini.
I am so confused.

What did you end up doing?

Didn't buy, will replace the Mini JCW with an electric Mini and have no issues with space.

I throughly recommend the Cooper SE, it’s the best MINI I’ve owned. The range isn’t an issue, it goes as far as need it to go.

I've driven the current SE and love it. I will wait for the newer one though as I already have a 2019 JCW which is fairly similar. I expect battery and infotainment/assistent systems to have a fairly big leap in tech.

Edit: would like the add I think the i4 is an excellent car, it just doesn't make sense with my garage atm.

Thats probably one of the ugliest BMW headlights i´ve ever seen. Why scrap the stunning looking pre-LCI laser lights for shit. Its time to fire some designers and CEOs before they completely ruin the brand.

It looks like they'll lose the "four eyes". Will change the appearance a lot! Lets see how the LCI will turn out once it's revealed.

LCI Headlamps leaked on Ebay.
New BMW models & FLs are becoming rather problematic.

Slowly but surely they are losing the key identity visuals we’re all accustomed to.

I don’t know if this is good or bad, but one thing’s for sure: BMW is experimenting too much with designs these days.

A change at the helm of Design dept. and a return to a more classic approach would be much welcome today.

The problem is when EV transition makes design elements as distinctive as the kidney grille irrelevant.

BMW has clearly reached a similar conclussion as you have, since the NK design seems to revert to the most classic BMW aesthetic.
