Six cylinder Aston? The world must be coming to an end.

If they pair it with a cinematic exhaust system and generate a healthy amount of additional revenue from it, then I'm all for it.

AMG GT also needs I6 to compete with Jaguar F-Type V6 and 911 Carrera/Carrera S.

The base AMG GT and GT S align with the Carrera and Carrera S.

Pricewise no, Carrera starts at 97k €, Carrera S at 112k €, while AMG GT starts at 117K, GT S at 136k. I think there should be an entry-level AMG GT under 100k.

I was talking more in terms of performance, but I see what you're saying. I still don't really see much of a need personally, as Mercedes has the SL in the fold that also picks up some sales. Now that it's getting refocused for its next generation I'd personally like the AMG GT to stay elevated.

Rumour has it we might AM might put a 6 cylinder in the car, the 53 AMG to be exact.

What do you all think about that?

If it was any old 6cyl engine, I'd be pretty hesitant. But M-B's new straight-6? I'm all aboard that peach of an engine. If it pumps out ~450hp with improve dynamics due to less weight up front and a delicious soundtrack along with the inherent smoothness of a blanced inline-six, I really don't see anything wrong with that.

I am very excited about this prospect.

You know they're going to do it. Aston would be crazy not to since they have this agreement in place with MB.

Not really, it's that grille. It's just a gaping whole with a screen in it.

As Sunny already stated - the headlights are the weakest feature on the frontal aspect. For me the contrived side vent/surface/shutline confluence is a straight up dog's breakfast. The rear would be perfect were it not for those Renault Clio tailpipes.

The best things about the car are the proportions (arguably the best I've seen on a modern car), the flared fenders, and the side profile.

The headlights really bother me along with the details ... and the crap color combinations AM is forcing.

To me I like the design, only complaint I have is the front grill is too big, and at the back the exhaust pipes are hideously small.

The front looks weak due to the lack of fancy day time running light LEDs. You might even mistake their lifelessness for halogens.

But in front license plate makes situation much better with front grill.

To my surprise, this was amongst one of my favourite cars at Geneva! Looks much better in person (perhaps excluding the front lights but the rest of the car looks exceptional) and I even loved the interior, a great cockpit feel with all those buttons but didnt feel OTT

Sorry forgot to add some pictures...
The car was in a tight spot so couldn’t quite get full pictures of the car. Love the rear and the big wide hips, gives the car some great presence. Don’t forget this is Aston’s entry level car at around £120k

I can't get pass those tiny exhausts, the rear looks weak and unfinished like a prototype test car. Many shoppers will cross shop this with the AMG GTS for sure.
