It looks more like a tougher core version of the SF90 to me, unless it's an early mule testing components I don't see enough "presence" to succeed the LaFerrari
It's actually a dressed up 296 GTB underneath that bodywork. A lot of people assume it's the LaFerrari replacement, but it could also be a 4th "Icona" series model.

But the rumour mill is suggesting the actual Laferrari replacement will use a strengthened 296GTB engine, the one used in the LMP or LMH racer. Unfortunately there's not enough time in the day after the usual stuff to go looking for information.

I could be wrong but that was from a buisness call and confirmation.🙂

Completely different wing on SF90 "VS" mule.

It doesn't look right on Ferrari, maybe I'll get used it, if they decide that this is the one.

Yeah, but that was about 3 decades ago, and it still has an integrated wing, not a tuner-style add-on.
I think it adds freshness to Ferrari, and if after several decades it is becoming fashionable again, Porsche, Mercedes abuse them and now BMW has started

Will it really have a wing like that? Looks a bit crude by Ferrari standards.

Well I'm not sure. Perhaps an optional extra? But it does look crude, a little.

But perhaps a turning point also for Ferrari.

The standard car will be available regardless, I believe the Ferrari SF90 Stradale for those who don't need or want it!

Luca di Montezemolo was opposed to wings being grafted on to the body. While the LaFer and SF90 have some sort of active spoiler solutions, it's still relatively discreet and that trend continued since his reign. I just don't see a street Ferrari having a GT3-like wing on the rear deck.

EDIT: Roma has an active wing too.

Brooks talks about Chevrolet but there's alot of Ferrari information in there purchase prices, worth of cars at height of their top prices, the agreements you sign to hold the cars for X amount of time and penalties for not following these signed contracts.

PLUS the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is up for sale and THREE (!) other Ferrari's are coming.

Oh, and TWO Lamborghini's LOL!

So Garage update time too!

Very interesting and insightful video.

Big wings on Ferraris feel so wrong. The F50 and F40 wings were so perfect. If they aren’t active they shouldn’t be on the cars (Ferraris anyway).
Ferrari have always said that the SF90 was their "performance model", so a big wing isn't that surprising. If you only care about lap times, then active wings carry a huge weight penalty and are also aerodynamically inferior because they can't be the full width of the car and you can't do proper endplates on them. If they are trying to make the car as fast as possible to compete with the upcoming Aventador replacement, or the AMG One, or whatever else, then it makes a perfect sense for them to put a fixed wing on it - as there is probably not much else they can do to make it faster apart from piling on more downforce.

Of course, does it benefit the car in any way other than lap times? Not really, but then that's the way the car was always supposed to be, made (as Ferrari themselves said) for those customers of theirs that place on paper performance over everything else. So those people are getting exactly what they wanted (or at least thought they did).

Even more than the wing, though, look at that ground clearance! It's like 70mm! Totally unusable, but, again, it seems that nobody actually cares, least of all Ferrari who are making big bucks and pleasing their shareholders.

it's a prototype, as long as the data from that wing is near their projected downforce numbers they'll use it

though it looks slightly differently from an off-the-shelf wing with that slim center section
