When I read the comments about the Cup 2R tyres, I tend to think those shall never have been used on a road going car and are mainly marketting trick to get fastest lap times. Nothing really new here though, but that's a reminder.

It's crazy how all over the place the SF90 test results are. The weight ranges from 1698kg by Autocar, 1721kg by QR and 1741kg by Motortrend to 1802kg measured by a customer (also AF car). The 1/4 mile acceleration ranges from 9.3s@151mph by QR, to 9.6s@146mph measured by Drag Times with two different customer cars (non-AF), to 9.9s@147mph measured by this Autocar test (AF car again). Also, this means that the Autocar SF90, which is the lightest of them all, apparently also accelerates the slowest . But not to 200km/h! It would be about 7s for this Autocar test which lines up perfectly with the Drag Times customer car tests, but not at all with QR's 6.2s time. Finally, there is the 0-100km/h time. It ranges from 2.2s by QR, 2.3s by C&D, 2.4s by Motortrend, to 2.5s by Drag Times and Carwow and 2.6s by Abt and Autocar. o_O

Ferrari press cars, man, those things are a menace. I am of mind to simply ignore every single magazine Ferrari result and only look at customer cars from now on. At the very least, the QR test should be completely disregarded.

2.2 and 2.6 seconds to 100 km/h aren't even in the same world as far as acceleration goes.

It is quite funny that although this forum is keen on instrumented magazine tests there are still so many questions after years.

I also have dragy device and therefore I know you can measure different times on different days on different places by quite a margin.

I am sure that QR takes the best run and do their best to get the best times possible (grippy surface, heated tires ect), they also did a record breaking 0-100 km/h in 2,6s with 991 GT2 RS as well. Autocar on the other hand is usually slow with all cars, they always have two persons on board, full tank and they take an average from both directions, also not so grippy surface... Then US magazines use rollout... And so on.

My advice is to compare figures from the same magazine between different cars.

Magnificent spec. Suits the bulk of the rear and hides a few weird attributes in the design.
