According to Ive and Newson you are probably thinking about it wrong.

“You might call it a glasshouse, or we like to call it a passenger cell,”
“Those things are intrinsically connected, but we like the idea of them as separate design elements.”-Newson

“There’s a sort of the litmus test that we applied to all of these objects,”
“that every single one of them was beautiful; not only a beautiful object, but a beautifully-crafted object, a beautifully-made object.“ -Newson

Just look at that picture my god , does it not want you all to throw hands ? Is it only me ?

This is what you get when you let people who have no idea what a car is, design them. Ive is an extremely overhyped joke of a person.

Ferrari is utterly retarded, once again proven @Merc1

Ferrari Multipla you mean. Makes an EQS look pretty.

Retarded and dumb aren't the same things, unless you don't understand the difference. Your argument is the latter.

Calling your company LoveFrom should have raised some serious red flags from the get go.

Overhyped losers. Some nobodies who worked for a tech company designing the most boring of hardware think they know how to design a car..
What a f#cking grade A joke..

Worst of all are nerds like you , your nerdiness did not result in a billion dollar company.

Whataboutism. I was calling you the nerd here, and you reflect right back. You used to at least be original.

a tech YouTuber talking to tech designers about the Ferrari they made... great

Next time we'll read this EV will have a simulated manual gearbox and we will come full circle.

What a joke of a company. Truly one horrible car after the other. Makes Mercedes look decent, and that's saying a whole lot.

  • Agree
Reactions: Ozy
Well I was on the fence about this 955hp, 2.8s 0-100km beast (CATL, Huawei, etc.) for USD40K, the Luce makes my decision a lot easier.

I agree. Your post is bullshit.

So, the first point is that Ivy is a good designer, but not a great one. His best designs were when Steve Jobs was there to reign him in.

Post Jobs when he got more power, he made plenty of really bad mistakes. The butterfly keyboard, Touch Bar, removing ports, iOS 7 are just some of them.

Even as an appliance designer I would say he wasn't great but certainly important. A great designer should never be stuck to a certain aesthetic, and should understand both design and engineering. It Form and Function.

The second point is that cars or automobiles are NOT appliances. They have emotion, and this is especially true for Ferrari. People form connections to their cars, and this is why we spend so much on cars. Ferrari's are inherently irrational. You can't make them rational.

If, Ferrari genuinely wanted to dip into the electric world, they should have gone to China. Its a big market, with many fans. I would have opened a development center. I think that the Chinese would have loved to help. They could have collaborated to create a small Italian electric brand as emissions offset even. So much potential.

Ferrari was even benchmarking the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. Didn't they get any cues, at least on design? What's really shocking is there was no one in the entire decision making hierarchy of Ferrari that had the spine to say no to this absurdity.

Ultimately, looking at the history I am not surprised that Johnny Ivy made a turd. Perhaps Ferrari was too respectful to push back on Ivy out of deference?

A true Emperor's new clothes moment.

iPhone has no design. iPad has no design either. And that Apple headquarter is just a f#cking circle.

What did he actually design design? Something that isn't just a screen or a circle?
The iPhone and iPad designs are dead as dust after Steve Jobs passed on. No innovation at all, just a f$cken screen with same boring body. That company will be bankrupt in the next 10 years if they dont change and become more innovative.

Ferrari has set the benchmark for automotive beauty and created some of the most iconic designs in terms of elegance and presence. How on earth did they end up with an EV design that looks so bland and uninspired?
