Nissan has announced the 2015 GT-R Nismowill be priced from $149,990 - excluding a $1,595 destination and handling fee - in the United States.

Set to go on sale on July 31th, the high-performance model has a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine that develops 600 bhp (447 kW) and 481 lb-ft (651 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed sequential dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system that enabled the car0f19c9f479bdc177b6a3970c2d2abf44.webp to set a somewhat contested Nürburgring lap time of 7:08.679.

The GT-R Nismo will be available in five colors - Solid Red, Jet Black, Super Silver, Pearl White and Matte Gray - and comes nicely equipped with LED headlights, Recaro sport seats, a red-accented tachometer and a multi-function display. The model also has an eleven speaker Bose audio system that delivers "sound quality suitable for a supercar."

Let me summarize: Nissan testing their fans loyalty with the new Nismo :D

I think Nissan can get away with it & I like their electronically controlled mechanical gimmicky balls.

I don't think so. At that price, badge comes into play for the person owning the car. The Nismo is going to be stupid quick, but the Turbo isn't a car to sneeze at.

They will sell. No doubt. Some people are crazy about these Nissans. They were great value when introduced, no question. The problem I have with them is that they cost more to run than a Ferrari...

You also gotta consider the $12,081 estimated maintenance cost in five years for the regular GTR, its the most expensive car to maintain in the US

Expensive but it will be an easy sell for Nissan in the US. Many of them will probably end up in the garages of car collectors.

No surprise: the GT-R V-Spec was twice than GT-R My09, and just +7ps, +10 Nm, harder setup, special tires and rims and 2 seats less...

Porsche 911 Turbo S for me!!!

When you look at the car itself, the Porsche has more class and by all means...it is a Porsche!!!;) Whereas the Nissan, how good and how fast it may be, it remains a Nissan and for the common man it might even be a tuned one (which it is in fact).

And the turbo s is still faster! Seems that the 0-60mph recprd in the nismo was 2.7, and the turbo s was 2.5!

The problem with the Nissan costing the same as the Porsche is that it has rendered itself irrelevant. It only hade price on its hand. Or am I maybe being a bit harsh here?

The nissan is one of the favorites by perfirmance minded people and JDM lovers mostly because of its price... the turbo is faster, yet better car overall, so if the nissan costs the same as the porsche, I think only JDM lovers will go nissan... makes no sense to get the nissan if it costs the same as one of the best porsches... And other thing... pay 150k on a nissan or in a porsche? Aaaahh... porsche for me!
But im not sure which car is a better track car... guessing the nissan is...
