Saprykin is off for Ottawa.

Brad May is going to Anaheim for G Michael Wall.

And, yup, Bertuzzi is conditionally going to Detroit. Apparently, there's a conference call with the league...

It looks like the league approved the Bertuzzi deal, which is for a Shawn Matthias (a prospect) & a conditional pick.

Dainius Zubrus is a Sabre, now...

And, the Leafs picked up Yanic Perreault (arguably, the best face-off man in the League).

**** ! **** ! **** !

First Gretzky, then Messier... now Smyth.

Ryan Smyth goes to the Islanders... and now the Oilers are dead to me.

Crazy, isn't it? :t-crazy2:

I guess the Oilers have given up on the playoffs...

I think they've given up on their fans too... there's a salary cap and all teams can afford at least ONE star player... so no more excuses for Edmonton.

I think this is stupid... even if it was a "business decision"...

I just pray that Smythy signs with the Habs during the off season (wishful thinking).

BTW, the reason I am so mad is that Smyth is my favourite player in the league.

I was blown away by this deal...I soooooooooooooo didn't see this coming.

On the bright side, Smyth is a free agent at the end of the season...it's entirely possible that he will sign with Edmonton, again.

Hmmm...only a couple of games left in the regular season. The West is pretty much settled, but the East has some movement potential.

Hmmm...I went to the Sens/Pens game, tonight. Good game, but it's a shame the Pens were eliminated so easily.

So, for the third straight year, there will be a Canadian franchise in the Cup final...for those that don't know, there are only 6 Canadian teams in the NHL, now (there are 24 American franchises).

Here's what's interesting, though:

Two years ago, Calgary was in the final...most of Canada rallied behind them.
Last year, Edmonton got to the final...once again, most of Canada wanted them to win.

This year, Ottawa has made it to the final (by beating the Sabres, this afternoon)...no one seems to care. :D

As an aside, downtown Ottawa (where I live) is quite active (as it should be, I guess). I wonder how it will take for folks to realize the Senators haven't won anything, yet...well, except a trophy no one wants to touch, anyway.

Poeple care... at least here in Quebec, there are alot of Sens fans (once the habs are out of the picture of course).

The reason most Habs fans are also secondary Sens fans... common enemy: The Leafs! ;)

Listen to the broadcasts...they've all been about what the Sabres (& the Devils & Penguins before them) have done wrong & little about what the Sens (as much as I'm loathe to admit it) have done right.

Would it be cool to finally see a Canadian franchise win, again (it hasn't happened since 1993...as I'm sure you're aware ;) )? Sure. Do I want that franchise to be the Sens? No, not really. :D If they win, I may have to move...

LOL... spoken like a true Leafs fan!

A minute left to play and Ducks are on top 6-2.....

Congratulations to Anaheim Ducks:firewcel:

I'm happy for Selänne. :usa7uh:

Me too... and for the Niedermayer brothers, it must a be a hoot to pass the cup to your kin.

But overall I wanted the Sens to win, so I'm dissapointed. :(
