X3/X4 Next X3: Spyshots & CGIs

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.
The answer seems to be yes...and no.

This first photo shows the car with the new blue-ish corona rings, but the second shot shows it with the older yellow rings. Could be that the old yellow-ish rings are for the base model, and the new LED tech' blue-tone corona rings are for the upper-range models.

:t-hands:

I think you are wrong, the grey x3 is a base model, and the red one is top model. Look at the front grill, Grey has it black, and the red has is chromed. Chrome grill is usually reserved to top engine of the serie/range model. So I will bet on:
- Either it is a bad angle of the camera (seems that some people have already reported that camera can't take proprely the new corona in pictures)
- Either the red one don't have xenon and in this configuration Corona are same as the old ones (yellowish).

You are correct.

It's most likely it's the same situation as the E92. LED corona rings are an option on every model.

Hmm...I think it's quite smart marketing this time.... The X3 isn't quite ready yet, but test drives like these WILL keep a few people from buying the Q5/GLK and wait a bit for the X3.

Or it could make them go buy GLK/Q5 and not wait for X3 cause it doesn't look too enticing at least not with all that camo.

Or that. But they would have gone for Q5/GLK anyways if they didn'tknow a new X3 was about to hit the streets. No sane person in this world is going to buy the old X3 halfway 2010, so at least now they know about the new X3 :)

When camouflage unveiling is done well and certain parts of the detailing is slowly revealed it can boost interest in the car and sway some people from their original decision of buying another brand, but in this case I feel that not enough of the important detailing in it's design has been revealed to allow the 'photoshop' experts to do their thing.

I know this opinion isn't correct but with the camo on the car I for the most part see another X3 just like the last one, which doesn't fill me with excitement.

The one silver lining this time round is the offering of adaptive suspension, the last X3 was a great handling car but never had the ride of the competition which with the most recent offerings from both Audi and Mercedes really did make it feel old in this way, especially since both these models handled even better. Hopefully now we have a small SUV that not only corner extremely well but rides well too. A bonus in my eyes.

Nope, thanks! Very interesting, as we've seen virtually nothing of the interior yet.

Looks like the car will feature a mix of E90 and F10 design. I'm actually a bit disappointed by the E90 parts.

^^ Seriously! The new X3 has had a preview on the official BMW.nl website for about a MONTH already.....***!!!!!

We have a pressing engagement with the refreshed MINI this weekend and then we will unveil the X3 officially,
The film is brilliant if I do say so myself, It really taps into the mindset and activity nature of the X3 driver.
