^As far as I know the current Superb has a rear seat legroom comparable to the LWB S-Class, isn't it?
Drove about 800 km to Austria and back last week with 4 friends in my friends Superb. Rear legroom is huge. Cargo space is big as well. But the steering is very bad, too light and very nervous. Especialy compared to our bimmer.

Superb is my fav taxi here in Madrid. When we need to go to the airport and call a private taxi, it is the best choice. I don´t know how is it to drive, but to be driven is fantastic. In fact, I´ver been in the backseat of the A6 and I prefer the Superb rear space.

The Combi is the best family car there is. If they make the new one a little bit sportier or/and add some nice sport-pack it will be simply brilliant.

Yes I think if I can remember from AMS tests the back legroom is about 860mm, while LWB S-class is about 870mm, so its pretty close.

Debuts tomorrow
The fourth generation Skoda Superb has returned in a video teaser ahead of tomorrow’s reveal.

The attached clip starts by showing the original Superb model introduced back in 1934 which represented Skoda’s first model to get a V8 engine and all-wheel drive. The Czech flagship model is about to reach its fourth generation which will bring a significant makeover while underneath the skin will be an entirely different car since the 2015 Superb will be based on the Volkswagen Passat B8.

However, there are going to be some important differences between the two as the Superb will be longer which will grant a more spacious cabin as well as a larger trunk. While the Passat is a sedan, its sibling from Czech Republic will adopt a more practical hatchback (liftback) layout. A Combi version will also be offered for those in need of even more trunk space compared to the liftback’s estimated 625-liter capacity with the rear seats up and 1,760 liters when folded down.

Skoda is taking into consideration launching a sportier version of the new Superb but it won’t be a vRS model which could mean the upgrades will be limited to visual tweaks.

A full reveal for the fourth-gen Superb is scheduled for tomorrow at a special event organized at home in Prague, Czech Republic.

All-New Skoda Superb Priced From £18,650 in The UK

If you thought the Passat and Mondeo were running away with "it" with these new generation models, you may have been mistaken. It turns out Skoda's striking new Superb is priced very intelligently.

And of course they would use a picture of a full-spec model to let every one know how much the entry-level version will cost, but that's usually how it goes.

Still, at £18,650, the new Skoda Superb is cheaper to buy than the all-new Ford Mondeo, which is priced from £20,795 in the UK. As for the new Passat, it'll cost you at least £22,215.

A gambling man would go on and bet on the Superb selling like sweets at a Comic-Con Convention, and we wouldn't blame him. We will however wait until Skoda details the entire price-range so that we can make proper comparisons, with both power units and trim levels in mind.

Still, £18,650 is a very competitive price, even thought it will only get you the entry-level 1.4 liter TSI model, good for 125 PS - while both the Mondeo and the Passat feature turbodiesel engines as their entry-level units.

For those who plan on getting the most out of their new Superb, they can look forward to using technologies such as the Virtual pedal system that opens the boot with just a wave of the foot under the rear bumper, full Apple & Android smartphone integration via CarPlay, MirrorLink and Google Android Auto, as well as safety features such as Blind spot detection, rear traffic alert and the third-generation Park assist and Traffic jam assist.

With its good looks, high tech and now low entry-level pricing, the all-new Skoda Superb will certainly become one of the main players in Europe's D-segment for the next couple of years.
