Drift Dynamo
I have not seen the X6 , but the X5 thankfully is nothing like that image above. It uses information granted, regarding some features such as the recessed repeaters under the mini headlights. But because of European pedestrian standards you can no longer have the grille attached to the bonnet. So the dyamically raked front is a no-no.
The front grille is also considerably larger and uses the chiseled outline as showcased on the Vision Connected Drive Concept. It also becomes larger than previous X5's. But the overall look of that rendering for the X5 is rather pedestrian and looks more like another chinese copy of the X5 or that somebody could not be bothered.
The next generation updates that classic shape with a bit more sporting intention. The latest "X" models open up the new language for an X Vehicle so there will be design features carried over but interpreted on the X5. Such as T-Shaped rear lights and kicked up glasshouses. expect a gently dynamic sloping roof at the rear , strong body sculpture allowing both solidity and premiumness and an impression that does not say "bland" when you see it.
