X6 Next Generation BMW X6 (Spy Pics & Info)

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof).
I have not seen the X6 , but the X5 thankfully is nothing like that image above. It uses information granted, regarding some features such as the recessed repeaters under the mini headlights. But because of European pedestrian standards you can no longer have the grille attached to the bonnet. So the dyamically raked front is a no-no.

The front grille is also considerably larger and uses the chiseled outline as showcased on the Vision Connected Drive Concept. It also becomes larger than previous X5's. But the overall look of that rendering for the X5 is rather pedestrian and looks more like another chinese copy of the X5 or that somebody could not be bothered.

The next generation updates that classic shape with a bit more sporting intention. The latest "X" models open up the new language for an X Vehicle so there will be design features carried over but interpreted on the X5. Such as T-Shaped rear lights and kicked up glasshouses. expect a gently dynamic sloping roof at the rear , strong body sculpture allowing both solidity and premiumness and an impression that does not say "bland" when you see it.

If it looks like the second image (from BMW ?) it is the best looking SUV ever. X5 F15 will sit next to my M3 F32 !

Current X6 M Testing F10 M5 Powertrain??

Not exactly sure what these pic's represent...except for sure the car is a Roundel camo'ed and serial numbered test mule. From my viewing and the pic's I took...as best as I can tell...the exterior of the car is identical to the current X6 M.I could not get a look inside the car.The logical conclusion would be that the car is testing something internal. The quad exhaust tips look non production to me....or they could just be dirty....I'm not sure.Given the impending release of the new "bumped" S63 TTV8 in the F10 M5...makes sense to extend that engine to the X5 and X6 M.Open to idea's. Thanks. PalBay

Don't mock but there is potential in the X6M especially in regards to weight reduction. X6M is being tested with an CFRP roof and other areas for interesting lightweight development.
The BMW X6M has a huge receptive market and the current X5M and X6M are just over two years to their removal from the market and the arrival of the all new X5 and X6 which will now be months apart instead of the year and a half between the current cars.

How long after regular X5/X6 are released will the M versions come? I hope its not 3 years, as was the case with E70 X5. Need to plan my purchase ahead. ;)

Maybe there will not be an LCI update in this lifecycle of the X6 and X6 M.I've not seen any evidence of the typical facelift front and rear fascia rework.Makes sense to wait and roll out the 2nd Gen X6-X6M with the aluminum and now maybe..... carbon fiber.... based Next Gen X5 platform.Especially given the "Green" and "MPG" push from all the auto companies.Thanks. So more of the same with a different roofline again... I was hoping for a 5er --> 6er difference.
