7 Series Next Generation BMW 7 series caught testing

The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by the German automaker BMW since 1977. It is the successor to the BMW E3 "New Six" sedan. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available in a sedan bodystyle (including long wheelbase and limousine models). It traditionally introduces technologies and exterior design themes before other models in BMW's lineup.
Re: Next generaion BMW 7 series caught testing

Sorry these are only new engine test mules. Underneath the funny looking bonnet is the upcoming turbo charged V8 (around 400 bhp) that will see the first light of day in the new X5 before arriving in the new 7er, RFK and X6 SAC.

BMW are testing cooling and front structures - hence the low front end that will be part of the new F01 7er.

Re: Next generaion BMW 7 series caught testing

we've already seen these pics boz, or at least similar ones. that's a mule testing the F01/F02 cooling system (mainly the grill)
the grill shape should, arguably, be the real deal.
it's a mule though
no real design elemnts, maybe mechanicals underneath
possibly the new engines, we've all heard rumors of a twin turbo V8 after the I6

God in heaven, 2 minutes before Eni said exactly what i was saying.

Re: Next generaion BMW 7 series caught testing

Oops, sorry, I need to pay more attention to the BMW thread!

A turbo V8 with 400hp? That will be interesting to see how it goes against the Lexus LS600...

To be honest, with all that camo' on... the front of the car reminds me of the Bentley CGT/Flying Spur.

The car looks very weird with that low front-end and the high-rise rear end,..but thanks for the heads-up Eni.

:t-cheers:
