The funny thing is that they had to modify the AM and the Jaguar he used in one of his last movies cause they couldn't be driven on ice otherwise. At least an Audi with quattro wouldn't need any mod at all! :bonk:

Audi could have had a very strong promo for the R9 if it were to debut in a Bond film, that would be great! :usa7uh:

I thought of that too! R9 is an ideal car for Bond. It has the presence and the performance to match his skills and sex appeal. :eusa_danc

Hells yeh it does!!! Shame on Audi for not bringing the car to market soon enough.... but he could use a Gallardo????? :D

Bond should only drive british cars. Bond is british and a british car is the right thing.
Forget about Bimmer,Benzes and Porsches.
Give him a british car - end of discussion

Bond need a car to attract women - give him a Aston Martin :image1:

I agree - he must drive British cars, if at least as his official 'work' car in the movie. He's the best of British, it would only be right.

James Bond, IMO, needs to have a car that not only has performance, but also some sort of elegance. Some sort of selfishness, such as making it unlikely he would drive anything with more than 2 doors and 2+2 seats (does James Bond carry passengers?); yet elegant enough since he goes to official functions wearing a tuxedo. Nothing that would be showing off, as such.

To me, he would not drive a Porsche 911 GT2, nor a Ferrari F430. He might well, however, drive a Ferrari 575M or a Mercedes Benz SL-class. I'm not saying he should drive those cars; again, British is the way - but just to clarify what type of car I think he should drive. Granted, not many companies are British owned, these days, but at least they should have British origins.

Seems like you ALL are wrong about Bond and what car he could be driving in the next Bond movie.

Check this: Bond in a Camry?

Aston Martin boss Dr Ulrich Bez has told the producers of the James Bond movie franchise he will no longer pay a product placement fee to see the world's most famous spy drive a car from the British brand. Instead, the producers of the next Bond film are believed to be considering product placement money from ... Toyota.

I would guess that they have worked out that many people actually do think that an Aston Martin is really the best car for Bond, and they're willing to bet the product placement deal on it. Hey, why should they pay the movie producers to supply the vehicle that the movie producers would want?

Or else, the movie producers may just think that most people couldn't really care what car he drove, as long as it looked ok. But it would depend who else is willing to pay for supplying cars. I wonder if Bond would drive a Lexus..?
