I think that the fugly MB looks actually fantastic. I'd be all over a modern day version of this. A Mercedes that doesn't look like a pebble is a good thing. Love the sharp lines and angularity of it all.

Reminds me of an NXS a bit, mixed with SLS

I also like the fact that it looks like an NSX, one of the best looking 90s Sports cars😍

Looks nothing like Mercedes to me, but preferences I suppose. Calling Bugatti and Jaguar ugly was diabolical.

Mercedes-AMG plans to launch 27 models in the next 36 months
Mercedes-AMG wants to grow. In 2025, around 140,000 vehicles were sold worldwide. Due to the discontinuation of the MFA family, the 35 AMG versions are no longer available. This will slightly reduce the number of units in the short term.
But the new AMG models are currently in development and within the next 3 years (36 months) Mercedes-AMG wants to launch 27 new models on the market.
The aim is to increase the number of units to 200,000 annually in the short term.

So a hot time is ahead for AMG fans!

Yes! All the Internet forum fans who are never going to buy one are going to be very happy.

Meanwhile, I see it slightly differently. Like a press release as a desperate call for attention. None of these AMG models are going to fix any of MBs core problems. And none of these AMGs are going to increase sales, as they're all extremely niche to begin with.

27 AMG cars. f#cking LMAO. Start making 27 proper Mercedes cars instead of catering to the 3% who can buy an AMG to begin with.

Can't really disagree with you here. I am also of the impression that the M-B (AMG) of more recent times can spread the glib on a super-sized, seemingly endless baguette excessively thick. That can cause indigestion.

Most of the AMG models due to come out are based on regular Benzes anyway.
The CLA, C, CLE, GLC, GLE, GLS, S.
There are only 4 AMG-only models. The CLE Mythos (which is still just a variant of the CLE), the GT BS, and the GT4door and GT SUV.

There's also an argument to be made for the halo effect that special cars have on the rest of the lineup.

When everything's an AMG, the normal car becomes the sought after one. It's an interesting theory. Good job Ola. I am just stupid for not understanding.

In my personal opinion, AMG are diluting themselves too much and I don't think it's necessary they bring out a model for each equivalent Mercedes model. An AMG version of an SUV model like a GLS is a waste, its a 2.6ton behemoth and not a wieldy sporty enough car to get the AMG treatment.

Dilution happened years ago. It’s not an issue in the real world.

I think BMW has gone too far with this. The number of M performance models has increased unnecessarily. The most powerful hybrid model of the 7 Series is sold under the M name. The most powerful diesel engines are also sold under the M name. These are added to the M sales figures. Mercedes has been more selective in this regard. An AMG version of the GLS is necessary because they sell it in the US. This also applies to the G63.

Tbh it's much of a muchness at this point.
The buyers want the M or AMG badge without paying for the full blooded versions of them.

Lets be real, making AMG models left, right and centre is largely due to the big fat juicy margins they bring... same as M-performance cars.

Let's be real, every BMW is a little M, even if it's just in the soul.

AMG however, is the opposite of a Mercedes. AMG is Mercedes trying to be BMW.
