My question is if this car will be capable of stealing buyers from C class, A4 and 3 series since the price range will be close to those 3 cars.

I dont know about that one. Unlike MB, VW doesn't have the same cachet where the marketing department can market what is truly a sedan as a coupe and people will still buy it. VW will have to make the cars interior and exterior design look very up market if they don't want another Phaeton on their hands.
