Video Games NEW Project Gotham Racing 3 screens! Microsoft X05

klier... so what your saying is you can download a game, burn it onto a CD and play the game on the xbox?

I deleted that part, you sneaky fast reader :D

But yeah, I can. Every movie and every game there is. Even Dreamcast, SNES, NES whatever.

Perfect cristal clear DVD quality too.

So you can also play any game from any system, that is really amamzing.

I saw you deleted it, but if you like i will edit my post out.... i fulfilled my curiousity. Let me know.:eusa_danc

Ps. mail me a thingy so it will work for my X360. Thank you!

It will take some time, but hackers will get control of the hardware.

Still, it is supposed to be really hard to try to hack the 360, because Microsoft claims security built straight into the hardware....

Xbox 360 will have awesome looking games, and I am looking forward to it a lot, but in my opinion, PS3 with the RSX GPU and CELL CPU (8 cores) will be beyond even Xbox 360.

I read somewhere that PS3 is estimated to be 10 times more powerful than XBox 360 but that means nothing.First XBox was more powerful than PS2 but it sold less. It's the quantity and quality of the games that will decide which system will prevail. Also PS3 will have the price disadvantage since a Sony spokesman said that it will be expensive (whatever that means).

You're right Yannis, but the visual leap from PS2 to Xbox 1 is quite huge.
I honestly expect at least the same difference in favor of the PS3, hardware wise.
As for it being expensive....yeah, it looks like that with Blu Ray and stuff. Don't be surprized however if they make a huge loss on sales of the hardware in the first year or two years though (so that means prices way below what they are supposed to be, to be competitive). They will more than make up for that loss later on....

If you look at the specs of the PS3 it seems like it is going to be more powerful than the 360 but don't forget that the specs of the PS3 are subjected to change. Not only will the PS3 be veary expensive but due to the games being recorded on bluray discs they will be a bit more expensive than 360 games. On top of that Sony isn't even finished with the GPU, so take everything with a pin of salt. Anyhow MS might have made a very good move with realesing the 360 very early and when the PS3 hit the stores there will allready be tons of games out there for the 360.

Luwalira,

That can swing both ways. Overall, the Xbox 360 launch seems very rushed, minus some exeptions (PGR3, Kameo, and maybe Perfect Dark 0, I have to see more of that). Ghost Recon 3 has been delayed to Februari next year, and I really feel a lot of other developers should have done the same.

As for Blu-Ray, Sony is in a unique position here; Blu Ray is their own stuff, they can work with prices big time.
Look for the already high demand for UMD discs (PSP, protected small 1.8 Gig disc). That medium is already doing very well. Blu-Ray is supposed to be the one and only healthy next gen disc format, so I do not think they will do stupid things with prices for a fast $$$.

UMD sucessfull? Kind of
Does it live up to it's name? No it doesn't, it is far from universial as the name says and PSP is the only product that uses those disc. There PSP game are far from cheap, they are mad expensive $60-70 dollars for a game that can only be played on a small screen. BTW bluray is not the nex generation disc format, don't forget that there is also HD-DVD ;). I'm sure that sony will lay some of the R&D cost for the bluray on the PS3.

MS has said that there will be 20 games availible for the 360 at the launch date. Yes the console it a bit rushed but getting your product our before the competitors and before christmas is a big advantage. I also like the 360 because I can hook up my ipod to it and listen to my music while I'm playing. The other thing that I like about the 360 is xbox live, I had xbox life on my xbox and it is simply fantastic. Everything works perfectly and it is really fun racing against other people. Has Sony or Nintendo set up a perfectly working online network? No

Will se how things go but I think that all three consoles will be hot. Since every single one of them will have mind blowing graphics, the games and extra features will be the deciding factor for many.
