There is something quite pleasing such as the smoothness of the body work which would actually be quite promising with traditional RR design aesthetic as an elegant four door Coupe?
They are approaching decision on the all new RR 6th model now that Ghost has begun its launch cycle. Stay tuned for Ghost II teasers.

That could work. Will be interesting to see if they keep this aesthtic for Wraith II?

I think the Wraith has been one of the most successful Rolls-Royce models in terms of sales other than Cullinan. I feel like it’s the model I see most of out and about. I hope they keep the same aesthetic, also a four door coupe would be an interesting addition since RR is keen on attracting younger clients and that platform would be a great basis to introduce an electric powertrain, but all conjecture and non of this is official. Have you heard anything about the 6th model?

As at the end of 2019...

Overall Ghost has been the top seller. Dawn outsold Wraith immediately. Wraith and Dawn combined are still behind Ghost; 17,188 Ghost sold vs. 11,663 Wraith + Dawn. Phantom (VII and VIII Saloons) 9,410 examples, with a further 2,186 of Drop head and Fixed head Coupe. Cullinan was at 3,052.

I still find it much amusing when they say the Ghost is the "affordable" Rolls-Royce.

Those are pretty impressive unit sales numbers for the Ghost + its' Wraith/Dawn derivatives at some 29K units combined. After all, these are cars that find themselves in the mesosphere of the automotive universe.

I would dare to say that I don't know if it is time for a four door coupe although I would love it, I see it much safer on the side of the SUV coupe assembled from the resounding success of the Cullinam, a more stylized and sporty Cullinam, in the order of what it's the Q8 to Q7

Interesting! I stand corrected then, though I’d give the Cullinan time and I’m pretty sure it’ll outsell the Ghost.

We'll see what the covidpocolypse does but under normal circumstances I'd expect the Cullinan to surpass the Ghosts total. As I've stated before, I think it'll be more about capacity than demand for the next few years.

The total of Rolls-Royce under BMW is 43,499 if I add up all the figures... That's basically in fifteen years. To me the figure is about 'right', for the 'exclusivity' factor. It may be personal bias, but I don't feel Bentley chasing numbers (which I believe they are being pressed to), does the marque any good.

It's a shame this turned out to be a non-official project. I don't love it, but I would love to see a few more one-offs from Goodwood.

Patent drawings leak mysterious new Rolls-Royce coupe concept

Rolls-Royce has filed a couple of patent drawings for a one-off concept coupe, which seems to be based on the Wraith coupe

They rather hire that Honda designer who made the concept we were talking about in this thread. They will ask like 5-15£ million again for some weirdo uglyness....

I thought the same, the render with which the thread started is much better at first, but I will still wait to see this in photos to issue a broader opinion

I’d say wait until we see the final car, 2D pictures meant for patents rarely evoke or illustrate depth and can’t illustrate materials or craftsmanship. I remember Rolls Royce’s CEO stating that they have to be careful with one-offs and it is Rolls Royce that comes up with the ideas/designs and sells them to the clients as appose to the other way around, to protect the brands identity. Doubt they’d create anything that’ll damage the Rolls Royce name.

Agree but their previous one off was ugly as well, and way t...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I’m sure the owner finds the Sweptail beautiful and that’s all that should matter since it’s a one off for him. Though I agree with you, I find the ‘regular’ Phantom Coupe much more attractive but I also love the detail work on the Sweptail and what Rolls Royce could do given the freedom of any constraints. The price is absolutely ridiculous but then again that Bugatti one off is even more expensive, seems to be a market for these with the ultra-uber-wealthy and if they pay up, then the price is acceptable or correct for them. Looking forward to seeing this one in the flesh (rather in really pictures/videos)

The time is ripe for RR to produce one-offs. It's a strategy that suits a brand with cars that look the same for 10-20 years and don't have top variants with different body kits etc.
