It's great to have another SLC owner on here (look for Coolraoul, he owns a 380SLC if memory serves me right). The SLC is one of the most gorgeous Mercedes' of the late 1970s and early 1980s in my opinion - and today it is largely forgotten because everyone wants the R107 SL!

And a 500SLC is a very rare car too, especially in North America! You're indeed quite lucky!

Very nice to see another SLC owner... Mine is a 1974 450SLC (Euro-spec), I love it!!
I love the look of yours, all-dark in AMG guise it's gorgeous!!

Not much difference between the '380 and '450 engines. The '380 had 218-horsepower and the '450 had 225-horsepower. The extra displacement should give you more torque though and make you a bit quicker.

I saw it. Very nice car. I love the SLC and you know that!
