Is this supposed to be the Gallardo replacement?

I hope that it is the Gallardo replacement, rather than another concept car. I'm very optimistic about the so-called "Cabrera" after their success with the Aventador.
But we haven't been seeing spy shots recently or hearing any news about the Gallardo replacement, so I doubt it. :D

Perhaps the production Estoque? But then would they use the phrase "super sports car?"

No way its the gallardo replacement at least not in production form..so close on to the Aventador..

I really hope its the damn estoque

My guess is it's some form of racing variant of the Aventador. Kinda like Porsche showcased the 918 RSR.

Something like this:

Just a guess.... :)

I think so too, as there were some spy pics doing the rounds of a (supposed high speed Aventador) clad in Veyron wheels (+400 kp/h speed testing?)

Otherwise it could either be the Siesto Elemento or the Estoque.

Seems like it's the Sesto Elemento:

A successor to the Gallardo sports car seems to be to early, however a concept of the Cabrera could be an option. An Aventador Roadster? Too soon as well. Production version of the Estoque? Not really a super sports car, is it.
This leaves us with two other options; a more challenging RWD Lamborghini Aventador supercar with an increased horsepower and a lowered weight or the production version of the Sesto Elemento Concept. Introduced last year at the Paris Motor Show and with an expected release in October it seems to be the best possible option for the IAA 2011 next month, but we have to wait and see.

Of course, this begs the question: what will they be unwrapping? It’s not the Gallardo replacement, as Lamborghini’s beloved test driver Valentino Balboni recently told us he hasn’t even driven that car yet. (More on that soon.) The Estoque sedan or an SUV wouldn’t fit the “super sports car” billing, unless they’re being very liberal with the term. And it’s too soon for a variant of the Aventador, which is just reaching U.S. shores now.

No, in this case, we’ve gotta agree with the gang at GTSpirit, who brought this to our attention: the most likely guess is a production version of the Sesto Elemento concept first seen at the Paris Motor Show.

So if it is the sesto elemento, where does it fit in the lineup? Is it below the Gallardo replacement or above it?

Sesto Elemento is supposed to cost around $2m, so if it fits anywhere in the lineup, it would be right at the very top, similarly to Reventon.

I think it will either be the Sesto Element (Production) or RWD Gallardo Superleggera.

I think the Sesto Elemento will be revealed. So its for the galardo what the reventon was for the Murci - a limited, very special edition.

or maybe a Gallardo LP590-4 SV?

That's not in the plan:
2011 : Aventador LP700-4 & Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder
2012 : Aventador Roadster & Sesto Elemento (limited)
2013 : Gallardo Replacement a.k.a The Cabrera (570 hp V10)
2014 : Estoque 4-door Sedan & Cabrera Spyder
2015 : Aventador LP700-4 SV (limited to 350) & Estoque Convertible Concept
2016 : Aventador Coupe & Roadster Facelift, Aventador LP750-4 SV, & Estoque Convertible
2017 : Cabrera Superleggera 595 hp (limited to 250)
2018 : Cabrera Facelift
2019 : Aventador LP850-Jota (limited to 50)
2020 : Estoque Sedan & Convertible Facelift, & Estoque Coupe Concept
2021 : Aventador Replacement & Estoque Coupe
2024 : Cabrera Replacement

It is going to be a Gallardo Trofeo Street (RWD). Love it. Could end up being better than the 458 Italia.
