What a great forum!
I live in Sheffield, Yorkshire and have owned over 20 German cars. My current garage includes a 1997 E36 328i Convertible (for her) and a 1985 M635CSi (for him). The 328i has been a great car with no major problems. The M635 is my third, and hopefully it's a keeper. It's not a 'show queen' but it's in pretty good shape for a 25-year-old car with a fearsome reputation for rust. I don't drive it every day as I have a VW for the commute, but I try and give it a good run at least once a week. It always puts a smile on my face and sorts my head out!
I have owned some cars from Japan and several old MGs, but I definitely prefer German cars, especially from the 80s and 90s. I do like some of the performance Audis, especially the RS2 Avant and S2 Coupé. As for Porsches, a 993 Carrera S would suit me nicely but UK prices are increasing faster than I can save money!
Past models I have owned include 7x E34s, 3x E30s 2x E28s, 2x E24s, 2x E36s and several VWs including a rare Blauschwarz Golf Mk2 GTi 8V. I have never owned an Audi, but the wife wants to replace her current BMW with an A4 S-Line convertible next year. I would like a black Brabus Mercedes CL coupé one day as I think they look fantastic.
