Ami NEW ADDITION TO CITROËN’S MY AMI BUGGY SERIES TO GO ON SALE IN 2023

The Citroën Ami is a two-door, battery-electric quadricycle marketed by Citroën since 2020. Designed by Pierre Leclercq and named after the model produced between 1961 and 1978, the production model was previewed by the "Ami One" concept car. Both the Ami and Ami One were developed simultaneously by Groupe PSA (now Stellantis) and Altran. The vehicle is manufactured at the facility in Kenitra, Morocco and is equipped with a compact electric motor located at the front, generating 6 kilowatts (8.0 hp; 8.2 PS) to drive the front wheels.

  • Limited run of 1,000 will go on sale in spring 2023.
  • Ami 100% ëlectric, My Ami Cargo and My Ami Buggy are revolutionising urban mobility with 30,000 units sold.

Citroën has announced that a limited run of 1,000 My Ami Buggy models will go on sale next year. The New Limited Edition version will be very similar to the first edition, but with a few surprise features over the current My Ami Buggy, which sold out all 50 units in just 18 minutes. Further details will be released in Spring 2023.

My Ami Buggy is an extension of Ami’s playful character and is at home both in the urban jungle and in more remote locations. Ami 100% ëlectric can already be found across the world, for example, it has played a part in delivering the energy transformation of the island of Halki off the coast of Greece where the police and Coast Guard use the models. Similarly, seven Ami 100% ëlectric models were added to the fleet of vehicles used by the island of Maddalena’s police and port teams in Italy to promote clean mobility.

A true breakthrough from Citroën, Ami 100% ëlectric is a daring response to the challenges faced in today’s cities and urban environments and has been a huge success since it first went on sale in 2020 with more than 30,000 sold in nine countries. Ami 100% ëlectric emits zero emissions in use and has a 5.5kWh battery that recharges in just four hours. With a range of 46 miles (WMTC*) and a top speed of 28mph, Ami 100% ëlectric is a modern solution that delivers on Citroën’s promise to provide affordable and clean mobility solutions for all.

Alongside My Ami Buggy versions, Ami 100% ëlectric is available in a choice of variants, My Ami Colour (Grey, Orange & White), My Ami Pop, My Ami Tonic as well as the commercial My Ami Cargo – an innovative solution to urban last-mile deliveries. With a payload of up to 140kg, a maximum load capacity of 400-litres and a tight 7.20m turning circle, My Ami Cargo is designed for businesses working in cities and urban areas and is also available only via the online platform.

My Ami Buggy will be available to customers on a first-come, first-served basis with sales expected to open in spring 2023, and deliveries beginning in the summer.
