I would appreciate any guidance on what manufacturer this is and the specs of vehicle. It has me very puzzled.

It's a photo of a great great uncle in Prussia pre WWII.

Possibly an early Auto Union? it has similar lines to the Wanderer W15 & W22 but is more muscular and sport like

That is a scary looking picture, the effect going on gives the man a possessed look. Looks haunted.

Hmmm...difficult...

I would guess a mid-late 1920s' Opel 6 Zylinder cabriolet with an "out of house" coachbuilders' body aft the firewall.
