My poor Subaru

Hows the repair going so far then? Any update?

An old guy reversed into me the other day on a supermarket carpark, luckily I was in the car and luckily he hit where it had been hit before, so hes going to chip in with the bill to fix the quater!

:t-cheers:

It has been a long wait, very annoying because I have to waste a few days and take the car for 3 different crash inspections, and after 2.5 weeks the insurance company told me the repair was not approved, so I spent another day calling up various people from various department and got that bs resolved.

The car went in for repair last Wed, hopefully I will get it back later this week. The repairer hasn't been exactly helpful with the details of the repair.

I found out my insurance policy do not cover the cost of a hired car, so I was facing the prospect of paying out of my own pocket to rent a car for a week. I was extremely determined not to pay a single cent extra for this retard's mistake so now I am driving my friend's spare Camry.

That is kind of lucky I guess, my car was hit by an old guy as well. Does he have insurance?

Damn that sucks :eusa_doh: For a couple of months ago some granny came against us in a narrow street (since she couldn't stop in a wider part of the road though she saw us), we we're about to drive to the side of the road but she couldn't wait so she accelerated straight in to our rear. Police came and said it was her fault and yet her insurance neither she wanted to pay us. This week though the insurance company said that the both cars we're moving so both cars are equally guilty. So there went our bonuses.. Why can't grannies like that just start using public transport :t-banghea

What a load of fuss for no reason, hope you get a nice apology from the idiot driver!

Yeah he had insurance, no point of going through that tho, hes willing to pay for the damage out of his own. I have all his details tho, just incase her forgets he ever had a crash or somethign stupid liek that...

Yet another update.

I got the car back almost 2 weeks ago and yesterday my friend told me the door that was repaired would not open. It was working fine a few days ago, now I can't open the door from the inside or the outside. Fan-fecking-tastic, especially at this time of year. I cannot get this sorted out until next year.

What a massive drag............................

You mean that the handles won't work?

If you try to remove the trim from the inside, would you void any kind of warranty?

The lock and unlock button moves when I press lock and unlock, but then the door just won't open. I don't know how to remove the trim from the inside, think I will have to bring it back to those idiots at the repair shop and try to have it fixed.
