You read my mind. I so want that aluminum trim. If not, I'd probably get the (aftermarket) carbon-fiber trim soon.

I'd keep it original. IMO, CF looks weird on a classic like that.

Drooling!!!!

He got the New Tesla Model S & was using it occasionally. I kept calling him regularly until one day he agreed to let the M5 go.

P.S; I guess, he's in his 70s already yet have a great taste in cars!

Better? Maybe objectively. But considering all the doo-dads it has in the E39, future gens are going to be so jam-packed with gadgets that it'll drive itself. Hold on to this increasingly rarefied gem

I had the M3 for about a year & I always wanted that E39 M5. SMG is great but can never bring you the joy of three pedals. This deal was too good to pass!

Upgraded the stock (yellow) rings to the Ultra-White LEDs.

The later M5s might be quicker, grip harder, brake better but in my opinion none are as groundbreaking as the E39 M5.
