Hi guys;

Here my new daily driver! It's my first ever diesel vehicle! Bought it like a week ago, it's a 2001 Toyota Land-Cruiser Prado! Single owner (lady driven) truck with 70+K kilometers on clock! It's fully loaded with leather, sun-roof, 3 row seating etc. I'm loving it, great on gas & an excellent off-road machine! I was never a diesel fan, untill I drove this! Worth every penny I paid! :usa7uh:

P.S; Advices & suggestion on a daily diesel driver will be highly appreciated! :t-cheers:

So how's the engine? I expect a nice write-up with impressions on the car!

So far I've driven it slightly over 1000km & I must say, this engine is among the great jobs ever done by Toyota! Great on gas & enough torque to push on every time you press the right paddle. I've driven it in both, extreme rain & burning hot & engine performance was surprising. Killing sun down here don't even let you think to drive around without a/c & it's a/c unit is works great without sacrificing performance. My only worry so far (after the scheduled maintenance) is to get the fuel. I was never a diesel fan but since I'm driving around this thing, I realized I was mistaken. It's roomy & comfortable, compared to it's rivals. Excellent ground clearance makes it easy to drive when you go off-road. All-time 4-wheel-drive is very responsible when you go beyond road or a muddy terrain. The only thing annoying to me is the engine noise but I'm already getting used to it & I can bear this cuz' I'm getting much more goodies in return! :D

I'm happy with my purchase & I must say, she does worth each & every penny I paid for it! :usa7uh:

Congrats. :t-cheers:

We used to have a 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 Turbodiesel in the Philippines. It was a great car and a lot of fun to drive. I believe that with diesel cars in warm climate zones you will need to watch out for a phenomenon called "water in diesel fuel". When our Pajero was brought in for servicing they sometimes advised us to do arrive with an almost fuel tank so that they could clean out the tank and separate the water from the diesel. Even the instruction manual warned us about this phenomenon. It might be good to check with the Toyota instruction manual and your Toyota dealer. ;)

Enjoy it to the max Atiq. Believe me, IT IS Reliable too. You can almost hit a wall and it will still work.

I must agree with you bro! I've tested her to limits & she proved Toyota to be the best investment on wheels! :usa7uh:
