Hey everyone,
I recently bought a Porsche Cayenne S and and I have a few impressions. The overall package is really solid, I like the new S from the standpoint of driving dynamics with PDCC and RWS, the V8 with sports exhaust sounds great, is powerful enough and refined, though honestly the engine is a little lacking of low-end torque in ordinary driving. I think I'm spoiled by my Taycan when it comes to low-end torque.

- The air ride suspension is comfortable and smooth especially on highways
- Excellent visibility all around
- The Burmester sound system is good but not amazing
- The boot space is more than enough for a coupe SUV
- The interior shows some visible cost-cutting compared to the previous model
- Too much piano black plastic, it scratches easily and is a fingerprint magnet
- A bit too much road noise at highway speeds
- Ambient lighting feels pretty average for this segment
- Nexen summer tires on a Porsche
- Aesthetically, the new front end and headlights are easily the highlight of the refresh, they give the car a sharper, more modern look.
- That said, it’s clear that all German brands are under cost pressure these days.
- Compared to the Panamera and previous Cayenne, the interior trims, door handles and shifter feel more plasticky, which is a step back in terms of perceived quality.
