Spent the day in Schwangau and Füssen visiting two historic castles and one historic city. I only an posting the interesting shots. I took a lot of photos of Füssen but there were so many friggin tourists all over the place that the photos appear very busy and aren't up to my showcase standards. :D

St. Coloman's Church

The 118i with Neuschwanstein Castle in the background left. Used the Autobahn to get here. Had it up to 210 km/h only because of the winter tires. Damn, I need to get rid of them so I can drive faster!

Hohenschwangau Castle

Claudia's BMW 118i and St. Coloman's Church. I didn't want to wait for the bus and car to pass so I just snapped it there and then...

The Alpsee - partially still frozen and partially thawing

Son of a female dog! I was so pissed when I arrived at the Maria Bridge because you could photograph the castle in all its splendor from there. They're renovating the damn thing!

Lovely photographs. Thanks for sharing. They just made me realise that I've been in London for too long and need to leave the city for a short break very soon:D. What's in the castle, is it now a museum or is it a hotel of some sort?

What an awesome place!! I have to go there in some of my vacations - definitely!! Thanks for these great photos!! It looks like there are many places in germany, that I have to visit before travelling around the world. :D

It's more or less still filled with the same furniture it was in its day but people can walk through the castle with a guide who makes sure that nobody touches anything. The inside of the castle was never completed so some sections will be furnished with cream white walls and expensive furniture while other rooms are barren with uncovered concrete walls etc. :t-cheers:
