My BMW 120i - Montego Blue

Its so beautiful, almost makes me cry :D People disliking 1er needs their eyes checked.

I saw a montegoblue 3dr a while ago in traffic. It has nice blue depth and an attention stealer in traffic.

PS Niko, I want daylight photos :D

Oh I know...in daylight it looks 1000000 times better!! All those people that don't like 1ers have obviously no sense of taste! :t-crazy2:

I just got the chrome-grills installed...it looks AMAZING and VERY VERY aggressive!! I suggest you install them when your car comes! I have the part number in the car...I'll have a look at it in the afternoon. However, if you have the M-Sport pack (which I can't remember if you do) the part number is different...and the result is even more astonishing!

Stay tunned as more pictures will come online sometime in the afternoon...in daylight!! :t-cheers:

P.S. The color in the sun is UNBELIEVABLE! Really a head-turner! It all ties really well with the exterior chrome-line!

The rear PDC gift is probably an aftermarket one...cause he told me that this is the "new" BMW PDC that is a small thing behind the bumper. I don't care actually...since it is a gift from the dealer....and it works!

Congrats mate! The excitement of the new car.. I can almost feel you.

Also, can you post a closer pic of the PDC system? Just out of curiocity...

:t-cheers:

You're 120i looks really astonishing! Enjoy it as much as you can.:t-cheers:

You think so???? I don't think Opel has a car to match the Alfa 159. Both in design and driving capabilities
In terms of built quality, Opel is superior. :t-cheers:

I know that I am off-topic...but I have to say something to SCOTT27...and I really, really, really hope he reads it.

I have read in the other thread that he will step down from this forum and I am really sad. So I have this to say to him...Scott27 and EnI are the reason I bought the 120i and not another car...and the reason I waited for this car, the 3dr.

If the moderators think that this is off-topic...or if it is a useless post, they can delete it.

I am taking my 1er to the track tomorrow!!! Her first track "walk" will be tomorrow!

I'll try to take it easy...and just drive for fun for a few laps. I'll try to resist the temptation!

I'll let you know tomorrow how it went. I'll try to get pictures.

Can't wait to hear about it (and see the pictures)! :usa7uh:

OK...I'm back.

I didn't take any action pics...just a few while we were waiting to get in...and a friend's M5 drifting like mad!!! Other guys have taken better videos than me...they'll upload them on youtube...and I'll post them when they do.

We had some very nice cars. A Caterham, an M5 and a Lotus Elise...my 120i and some other FWD cars (Avensis, my brother's Astra GTC 1.8, a Citroen Saxo and a Peugeot 106).

The M5 went in a full tank of gas and fresh tires...and after two hours (they only allowed us to run from 16:00 to 18:00...only 1/4 of the tank was left and about 50% of the tires!

I don't know if you have ever sat in the passenger seat on an M5 drifting and watching the world sideways...but OH MY GOD...I have never done it!! It was the most fun I've ever had in a car!!! The car is just UNREAL! The motor sound is phenomenal...it growls...and the smell of the tire is fanstasic. It has soooo much power...and the Mdiff is to die for...it locks immediately...and you can drift...and drift...and drift for ever!!! I'll post some videos as soon as they come available.

The car now...it handles beautifully!!! It is SO neutral. If you push it to the limit is has some oversteer...but you end up going out almost sideways. I pushed it a little bit more than I should have on a tight curve just to see what it'll do...and it went out under control...oversteering...then sideways.

The track was good...and I couldn't drift...and the car needs an LSD diff to enjoy it more...and that's where my money is going next!

The car was lot's of fun...it corners very nicely...the motor sound it very nice...brakes seem ok...but after a few hot laps they get warm...which is normal since they're not for racing. Even the M5's brakes had problems...but this is mainly due to the track since there is only one long straight to cool the brakes down, after tight "driftable" corners.

So...I have the best impressions! All I need now is an LSDiff and worn out tires.

Just to give you an idea...here's what the M5 did in an earlier trackday...

Thanks for sharing your experience - especially the ones of the M5 - it must be so much fun (also as passenger)!
Don't know why, but I missed the last pictures! The chromed grille fits perfectly to your car! It makes it in some way elegant and a bit more agressive - I really like that! :usa7uh:

Nikos, how any kilometers have your bimmer been running since you bought the car?

I have 32000 kilometer (3200 mil) on my car :)
