Movie/Netflix reviews

How did miss this thread? Anyway, most recent movie I've seen.

The Upside of Anger
3/10. Kevin Costner is brilliant and is the at the center of every bright moment in this movie. Without him it would've been a zero. Boring and uninteresting movie with a stupid ending.

The Island
8/10 - Really surprised by this movie. Usually not a fan of films made by Michael Bay, but I was pleased with this one.

I'd give it a 6.5/10. I loved the idea but there was just too much Hollywood over it. Too commercialised and focus was taken off the characters and their fight for answers. I'd love to see a Christopher Nolan take on it. I'm sure he'd make it awsome. Oh, and Scarlett is hot:D

I dunno. The only thing that scored too commercial in my eyes were some of the car chase scenes and that ridiclous scene with them hanging from the sign on that building.

For someone like myself -who hates typical Hollywood dribble- I actually enjoyed this film. It's not often I say that

Very hot!

Last King of Scotland
8/10 - Neat story.

Serendipity
8.5/10 - Good "chick flick". Good story, great acting.

Wedding Crashers
7/10 - Entertaining for what it is

300
9.0/10 - Amazing battle scenes, interesting characters.

The Girl Next Door
7.0/10 - Not bad

V For Vendetta
10/10 - I loved everything about it.

What I meant with too much Hollywood over it is that it's too accesible and even an 11 year old kid would understand it and too much focus is put on the escape, revenge and action and so on. I would've prefered it too be more psychological that gets your mind going. Get what I mean?

Re watched my favourite movie this weekend.

Donnie Darko: The Directors Cut
10/10. Perfect movie in every way. Not traditional, makes you think, and re-think over again. This movie istantly becomes an obsession, a nice one that is. This movie has everything, horror, humour, mystique, love, good, evil

Yep, I get what you mean :usa7uh: For the most part I'm not one who likes mindless movies, but it's fun to ocasionally watch them.

I've heard much about this movie, but have never gotten the chance to see it.

=------------

BTW, right now I'm watching The Punisher... LMAO, it's terrible :D

I'm gonna watch Pirates this weekend.. Anyone else here watched it already? Think probably Shrek 3 as well... :usa7uh:

As Jeff said, go see it!

And if you can, watch the directors cut, it's alot better in many ways. It has an altered soundtrack, more scenes and lnoger. That helps to put some pieces together. Also, to understand the movie you basically ahve to have read a book that doesn't exist. In the directors cut some pages from this book are shown sort of as a slide show. So if you pay attention you can actually put the pieices together. The theatrical version is almost impossible. But both versions are open to different interpretations.

Spanglish
7/10 Not a bad Adam Sandler film.

The Fountain
9/10 What a trip...

Unfaithful
7/10 Nice little thriller, Diane Lane=hottie.

Layer Cake
9/10 Daniel Craig FTW.

Hook
8/10 A Classic.

Mean Girls
6/10 Lohan....

American Psycho
8.5/10. Christian Bale is awsome and the characters in this movie are very interesting. Bale specifically. But a bit too much focus is put on the characters than on the story itself.
