F1 Montoya says No to F1

And why he cannot say that ? Because senna is for many fans a hero so we cannot talk about some of the black points of his carrer ?

Bear in mind that i didn't ask you the question. Why i'm surprised with IE's comment is my problem, not yours.

Ok? Are we cool?:usa7uh:

:t-cheers:

What are you talking about??? :t-banghea Where did i mention RD and FW and their work with M$???

My point was that the Williams and McLaren boses and their teams way of doing things (= 70s/80s/90s ways) is absolete vs. the Todt/Brawn/Schumacher - Ferrari implemented way.

BS, complete BS!!! He was the only one attacking M$ with much "weaker" car! Since CART/Indy days??? Good one! :eusa_clap

Again you did not understood. He was always attacking/taking risks when he shouldn't. He lacks the capacity of balancing when to attack and when to defend witch has helped make the likes of Schumacher, but especially Alonso and Prost World champions.

I really respect you knowledge about history of cars in the 1st place and motorsports as well, but imho, it's you the one that have problems in understanding that it's 21st century today, not your beloved 50's, 60's, 70's, etc...

:t-cheers:

My point was it's no longer the 50/60/70/80s anymore, so:
- the likes of FW, RD and Co. should either adapt or go away;
- the days when F1 drivers would inbetween F1 GPs, also race and win at Indianapolis, 24h of LeMans, F2, ETCC (24h of Spa and Nurburgring included) are gone;

Also about Schumacher, Senna and Prost... while I do not contest their greatness things like the "incidents" at Suzuka 89, Suzuka 90, Adelaide 94/Jerez 97/Monaco 06 have no justification IMO.

I know what you mean, i was just surprised to see it coming from you...;):usa7uh:

I don't understand why, I was never a fan of either one of them because of what they've done. RickfromBelgium has given me a really hard time for stating that MS is no saint. I've liked Montoya till I realised he was a lost cause. He was
a showman. :t-cheers:

You asked like who? And i've replied - like M$! Don' you think M$ was a complete package? No connection at all, just stating the fact - a complete package, but an @ at the same time!
Let's summerize aigain :D You wrote
He didn't became a "package" because of himself, but because of others.
I asked who were the others and you answered MS, so logically for you MS is the cause of the fact that montoya is not a complete package, may be i am a complete idiot but that's what what i understood.
Frank didn't offer him a new contract and he had thousand of reasons for that! He was the one pulling out maximum from their car!
This is absolutely not true and you know it Tycoon, The departure of Montoya to MC Laren can stand in two words MAGNY-COUR 2003 (yeah i know, it's not really two words :D ), do i need to developp ?
That connects with my above post as well; Ralf was favored by BMW because he was German and that's a fact!
Can you develop ?
What Ralf achieved, what? Showing to the world that he has no b***s to attack his brother? Give me a break, please.
2001- 3 wins ( in canada his brother was 2nd)
2002- 1 win
2003- 2 wins and a grave accident
2004- Terrible accident
May be montoya was more agressive and spectacular but don't tell me he did miracles.
Yeah, exactly the same - Nothing!

Doing NOTHING is hardly a magnificent job!
Oh my god, i still don't believe that you wrote this, so for you 7 wins are nothing ? SUZUKA ANd HUNGARY 2005 are nothing ?
No, my friend... What caused the destruction of his future in F1 is Mr. Ron Dennis and his team of engineers... They did the same to Kimi with their tractor, pardon, car... Not to Kimi's F1 career, but his career in McLaren...
:D :D :D the two drivers had the same material, one of them did a magnificent job and the other did...let's say correct job, and so one driver was better than the other.
...because you don't like him and that's all.
That's not true, like all drivers, he has qualities i liked and defaults i hated, i am absolutely not a montoya hater.

I lack this and that, huh? You know what you and other Montoya haters lack?
i am not a montoya hater.
Respect for the driver
Absolutely not, it's not me who treated a driver of ass****.

Sorry but i thought that we were in a public forums and so all what members write in topics can be disscussed. I also thought that private message had a role.
Ok ? Are we cool ? :usa7uh:

Put any of those spoiled little f**s like Alonso or your beloved Iceman in some other motorsport and they'll do nothing, nothing!

Whining little p****s, that's what they are.

Martin corrected me when i said good riddance about M$, he said F1's loss. Well, i say the same about JPM, he's F1's loss.

Naruto, people break their arm even when they play a table tennis you know, so there's nothing wrong with what happened to Montoya. That comment was pretty lame if you don't mind...

:t-cheers:

May be professionals or really stupid people break their arms playing something like tennis or table-tennis. Montoya is not a pro so he must be stupid to have broken his arm. Just in case you're wondering...yes I have played tennis and been in matches.

No I don't mind you giving me a thumbsdown...but next time make sure you're not hypocritical when you give me another thumsdown because it just makes you look bad...no offense LOL :D

Can i add something here:

Daytona winner Montoya rules out F1 return.

F1 refugee Juan Pablo Montoya recaptured the winning feeling on Sunday by racing to victory in the Daytona 24-hour race in Florida.

The former Williams and McLaren driver, partnered in the winning Chip Ganassi-run Lexus Prototype by Scott Pruett and Salvador Duran, starts his full time NASCAR foray in a few weeks.

But with his Daytona win, 31-year-old Montoya joins Mario Andretti as the only other driver in the history of motor sport to have won the sports car race, Formula One events, the Indianapolis 500 and America's premier open wheel title - the Champ Car title.

He turned down a Toro Rosso seat in F1 for 2007, and Montoya confirmed recently that he would not return to the Europe-based category even with a top team.
Montoya told The Times:

"I ticked everything I wanted to do in F1. Yes, it would have been nice to win a championship, but it wasn't worth it in the end.

"If you want to run like you're behind the safety car, go ahead and do it, but I want to entertain myself."

---------------------------------

If anything counts, that's the bold part. You have to admit there's a talent in this guy, he does deserve some credits...:usa7uh:
