The C-class is the main attraction in the showroom, so I took a lot of photos of it. The white avantgard C220 is really nice.

I like the detailing of the headlights.

Trying out a different angle.

The C looks strange from this angle. The grille is really upright.

The elegance version looks very sporty as well. Both front end design looks great, I can't decide which one is better.

For those who can remember there was a silver CL in the showroom a while ago, this is another silver CL, but with matt wood trim.

I've been invited to an event at my local dealer next week, I'll be sure to take some pics.

Nice C 220 CDI, but the CL is just amazing - I only miss the AMG package! :D

the c220cdi is same like mine exterior interior its got wood instead of aliminuam here in sa we cant get wood in avantgarde or i would have chosen the wood...i love both the elegance and avantgarde fronts but i think in some colour the avan looks better and in some the elegance look better but both are awesom...

nice pics monster

The CL looks fabulous...
I really love the C-Class. I definitely prefer the Elegance. The rims on this Elegance are really classy, too.

Thanks for the pics.

For some reason the 2nd half of the CL photos disappeared. Here is the rest and my impression.

The interior is flawless, well almost, the central air vents are silver painted plastic, which doesn't feel as nice when you touch it and move it around. When I seat inside, it feels like I am just sitting inside another Mercedes, although everything is of the highest quality, it just doesn't feel special enough. I find this surprising considering the interior of the CL looks very nice in photos.

I just love the door design. Luxerious, elegant, and simple. It has just the right amount of wood trim and chrome.

There is also a nice CLK63 sitting next to the white C220. The car is starting to look dated now, even in AMG trim, but age hasn't really diminished its desirability.

Can't get a good angle cause the showroom is packed with other cars.

Great photos! The profile of the CL is so elegant - this is how a Coupé should look like - this is also the reason why I love the CLK so much!! It's a bit old, but looks still great!!

"Feels like just any other Mercedes" - Hmm, I was expecting more from the CL.

Maybe the interior quality of the rest of the Mercedes sedan range is at such a high level, that any additional price increase will only bring marginal improvement to the interior. Sure the CL has more leather covering more part of the interior, but the leather feels the same as those used in the C-class. The COMMAND rotary control is bigger in the CL, but it still feels the same to use as that in the C-class. Little details like the way the air vents move and slide around feels exactly the same in the CL as in any other Mercedes. It is true that the design of the CL is unique and luxerious, but once you are inside the car, all these little details does matter and the CL feels just like any other Mercedes. It is not a serious criticism of the quality of the interior, it looks special but it should feel more special.

Nice pictures! :eek2:

I never knew you guys got the C220 CDI (and B-Class) down there! :t-cheers:

There has been a significant increase in diesel passenger car awareness in the Australian market, and we are seeing a gradual increase of diesel passenger cars on sale. The current C-class model line-up in Australia starts from the C200k, then the C220CDI, then the C280, and the range topping C320CDI. It is a bold move to have a diesel car as the range topper, epically in the compact luxury car segment where people still have a strong preference for petrol engine cars.

We do get the B-Class in here, it is much more popular than the A-class. My salesman said the B-class out sales the A-class almost 3 to 1. I just don't see why people will buy a B-class or an A-class.

Here in Australia we get the full model range, from A to GL. The GL is proven to be surprisingly popular, they are more common than expected. So far I have seen them only in black or silver. I still don't understand why people want a GL in Australia, as if an ML isn't big enough already.

Crud, it seems Australia has everything Singapore has not... Cheap cars, diesel cars, lots of land... Maybe I'll move there!

HAHA - yeh i recommend australia to anyone...

thanks for the pics monster... ill take some pics of the BMW dealership in Brisbane city when I take my car in for a service, ok back to work for me :)

I still haven't learnt how to take good interior photos. My shots of the C and CL interior are a bit blurry and the lighting is all wrong.

Are you using a DSLR or regular digital camera?

With a digital camera you're pretty much screwed because you can't do anything except use flash for blur-free pictures - but sometimes you don't want to use flash. :eusa_doh: If you have a really steady hand or a tripod, it's no problem though.

On a DSLR, you can use a fast shutter speed, increase the ISO (in poor lighted conditions like that showroom) and perhaps increase the exposure settings a bit (-0.3 to -0.7 is what I use). This works for me. :usa7uh:
