Military Military Aviation Thread

BTW, after careful examination of those photos, I see that there are both F-16s and F-4 Phantoms there!

Dassault Mirage
F4
Eurofighter Typhoon
F16
Dassault Rafale

Looks like a good location. There's something similar in the UK known as the Mach Loop, I need to pull my finger out and go and get some shots there. Couple of shots from a fella I follow on Flickr...

These are taken in the area of the Vouraikos Canyon, near Kalavryta, Greece. I've been there and seeing those F-16s flying below you is an amazing site!

I was trying to pinpoint the exact location where the photo was taken. The building in the background is part of the Monastery of Mega Spileon, which is the oldest Orthodox Monastery in Greece, dated back to 362 A.D.

If you see the map in 3D, you can see the Canyon. Those aircrafts should be station at the Araxos and Andravida Military Airports. There's a NATO thing going on these days and there's a lot of activity. It's more annoying than a 2 stroke motorbike with a straight pipe.

PS. The Vouraikos Canyon is a place of amazing beauty. There's a rail train going up through the canyon. Every year in May there's an event where you can hike down the Canyon, from Kalavryta to the sea. I've done this a few times in the past. Great experience!

I'm not a fan of such heavy post processing, personally. The guys taken some other really great stuff with less emphasis on the AI assistance. Very interesting to see his set-up though. Whilst at Fairford I had a go with an RAF guy's R5, with a 600mm and 2× tube, so a prime at 1200mm I don't actually like mirrorless much, but the combo was predictably massively impressive. I'd planned on getting a 1.4 or 2× tube to go with my 400mm before Fairford but I was worried about insufficient image stabilisation. Looking at this guys results with a 400mm and 2×, it certainly looks pretty doable, though Lightroom AI probably makes a difference.

Anyhow, a few of my considerably less impressive efforts from the weekend...

For a photography luddite like me - what are the most telling signs that AI's been used to post process the image?

Thank you for your fantastic pics of RIAT! I'm so effing jealous. You got to see that phenomenal F15QA demo! POWERRRR!
