Microsoft Surface Prices Finally Released

First few reviews are out. While Surface as a product looks great, it seems that the Tegra 3 SOC and WinRT app store are the major flaws. While I'm sure MS will unveil a few more apps at launch, I doubt they're going to be many. It will be interesting to see what strategy MS will use to lure developers for WinRT. Atleast for now, WinRT seems like more of a rushed product than a polished product.

Will be interesting to see how the x86 tablets perform on Win 8.

Apple just upping the specs to make for a significantly improved iPad when the "3" was already still considered tops in the market will make life extra hard for the Surface.

Microsoft just needs to send Balmer on his merry way, give him his stock grants and let him be rich and happy, and get some fresh new blood in the building.

Oprah Gives Her Nod, Surface RT Is Like A Mercedes

When someone of the stature of Oprah endorses your product and that too just before the holiday shopping season, it is a huge boost for your marketing team. Recently she mentioned in one of her shows that the newSurface RT tabletis one of her “Favorite things” of the year. She actually said “The Surface, Microsoft’s first tablet, feels like a Mercedes-Benz to me, people!”
She was very appreciative about the full sized keyboard which was built into the cover, and which made it easy to work. The fact that it also doubles as a stand meant that it’s perfect for enjoying a movie or speaking to a friend on Skype. The overall weight which is less than a pound and a half meant it is the perfect alternative for a laptop for someone who is very mobile.
