I just got it!
Later more. For now I’m Honeymooning 😊

Congratulations

Thank you very much 🥂
Beautiful color, congrats
It’s called graphite grey.
Amongst the most certain things in life, are death, taxes and Mick getting another S-Class. Enjoy in good health!
You kill me, Giannis 😂
Wow you finally got it. Love the colour superb.
Thanks mate! Less than 3 months waiting time.
Congratulations Mick, enjoy every one of the many kilometres you’ll drive.
Thank you so much, Martin 🙂
Colour me jealous! Enjoy.

Any thoughts on ride quality and sound isolation?
So many thoughts on almost everything.
The ride quality is really better than that of the W222. More flush, more magic carpet like, yet, if wanted or needed, rather sporty as well. The 7 cm longer wheelbase helps of course, but I think the optimized the airsuspension and some other things, to make it this good.
Sound isolation is, without exaggeration, out of this world. MB optimized the NVH with foam like material in the chassis, special tyres also with some sort of foam in it and a stiffer chassis as such. On top of that I’ve ordered the 360 degrees glass option. That means extra sound isolation layer between the glass panes as well as infra red radiation reduction for the interior.

Petroleum gray we called it in my country when it came like this in the E30 325i, it seems to be exactly the same and it is the color to have for its stateliness, I see that it still is and it looks great on the S-Class

Thank you very much 🥂

Wasn't aware that the tyres have foam in them like the Phantom.

The colour is beautiful and I see you went for the conventional door handles rather than pop-up ones. I don't trust pop-up handles either.

Anyway, congratulations @Mick Briesgau, enjoy your new S-class. Once an S-class customer, always an S-class customer, right?

Thanks! The way of pop-up door handles function in real live is too notchy for my taste.

Cool drive! (y) ... this is a statement and I like persons with balls.
I personally would be a bit axious driving into cities ( e.g. Munich in my case), where its dimensions regularly collide with the reality of tiny parking lots and parking garages from the 80s built for VW Golf II sized cars ...
So - do you use another (smaller) car in those cases or can you handle this with the S?

Yes, the older parking garages can be a pain in the butt sometimes. I have to say though, I haven’t got too much problems with my car. Probably because I’ve been driving cars of this size for a long time now, you get used to it.
